Eoin Morgan has hardly lifted a bat score wise since being elevated to England captain . I wondered hugely about that decision , for a variety of reasons , including his relatively poor form batting wise over last 2 seasons compared with when he was rising up the ranks .

Maybe Pietersens handle on England has more substance than he was credited with from the English media .

A cricket captain is like no other captain as its such a cerebral game.

Ian Botham famously couldn't handle it,there are loads of other players who lost their form completely when made captain.

Mike Brearly was such a good captain that he was picked for England almost solely for that ability.

Nobody is blaming Eoin Morgan for Englands demise , NORN . He is so out of form he should not be in the side and then he would be blameless and the pundits would be calling for his inclusion .

The problem lies with selectors who are picking sub standard one day cricketers based largely on non one day cricket performances .

Pietersen is the best talent eligible to wear an England shirt , but he has had his moments too and became not dependable either as a captain or batsman .  Reckon there must be a curse on the England players , did any of them have Mayo connections ?
