Mordin's columns in the Weekender and Irish Field disappeared mid-October, returned at the end of the year, and have not appeared for the last couple of weeks. As to why, your guess is as good as mine.

Sorry to hear we hall be denied his output but good luck to him; I had feared he was seriously ill. He has been the most influential racing pundit since Phil Bull. |

I only bought the Racing Post Weekender for the Nick Mordin page.
His article in the Sporting Life Weekender in May 1992 was a classic. He reduced the Derby field of nineteen to five possibles, four ran, finishing 1,2,4,11. He upped the analysis game. He gave reasons. Right or wrong he gave reasons. Good luck. He deserves an MBE. |

Racing Post Weekender 13th May 2015
"Desperate times for the Derby as ante-post market confirms mess" - Tom Segal "Elm Park the obvious choice as Ballydoyle hopes fall by the wayside" - Paul Kealy "Wait goes on for a star to emerge from Derby trials" - Sam Walker These are the headlines of the big reports by the top writers.. Sitting on fences is fashionable in 2015. |

I see Nick Mordin's old page now auto directs to a speed ratings website. That site appears to have been around for a bit so I presume he must be involved somehow?
