paul smith arthur Abraham
..i know they are confident he will win..the champion is long odds on but its closer than that..paul was robbed lto ..most people ringside said he won lto..I think it,ll go the distance but a draw is a decent bet or paul on points..

Don't quite think he was robbed, a lot was taken on Abraham's gloves and he isn't a very active fighter. (smith shouldn't have had the shot in the first place really on his record) maybe should have got a round or two more but don't think he ripped it away from the champ. Abraham was a formidable middleweight, but has never been as good at 12 stone. He is shot to me now and is just a beltholder, he also isn't a big puncher at super, that said, he didn't train properly last time and struggled to make weight. Thought it would be easy given Smith was Ko'ed early by both Groves and DeGale. He made the weight easier this time, which tells me he has prepped right, so he should take this

Lot on the line here for abraham as his promotion have just signed a new deal and the popular German middleweight Felix Sturm is moving up to meet him after this. That is the main reason for the rematch, easiest defense possible and easy sell with England/Germany.

sorry to piss on yer chips Tony, as i know Smith is a Scouser.

I know paul well niell grew up with his father..his brothers are better fighters at lighter weights..paul no knockout merchant..but I disagree about the last fight paul won it ..neutral observes said so..one score card had paul down by 8 rds ffs? the judging was rank..(although its expected here)I think a draw isa knocking bet 22/1

The brother is as good a prospect as I've seen, Callum. a monster. liam is pretty good as well and is underrated, he'd have beaten the lad Rose from Blackpool before that american last week. Stephen has only been beaten by that very good welsh Super featherweight who will win a version of the world title.

Amazing fighting family. Paul is an excellent pundit, I'd love to see  Paul defend his British against Rocky Fielding, could be fight of the year and I think he'd come through due to his skill.

You'd read a lot of people Paul would have been world-class if he could've made middleweight.

I thought a round or two either way, but I believe you've to rip the belt from the champ. always the way in Germany anyway. No disrespect to Paul. Good fighter.

great you love it all niell let me know you want to come over when they are on..and meet them etc..there normal family..when out of training they are in the bookies at the top of our street with a few mates...callum I think is moving down south..but liam was always told he would be the man..frank warren told him he had the world at his feet..but as you know at them little weights there are some tough fuuckers Mexicans south americans skin like rubber..

Have heard about Joe, has unbelievable talent by all accounts Tony. Frank fought off a lot of competition to get him. Would love to see him fulfill his potential. Best of luck to Paul tomorrow night, had a long hard career and he could earn a right few quid if he can pull it off.

Gotta watch Warren by all accounts, sure the lads are wise to him, though.
Report tony57 February 20, 2015 5:05 PM GMT
yes neill just the hand has held him back, plus fighting with his ex bird..got his head right again now..but worry if the hand goes..he told me tho hes got confidence in it surgeon done the job..
Report neill d February 20, 2015 5:09 PM GMT
****, that is a pity. the only thing though that whatever happens, some of these lads can go into personal training if it comes to it. He has a high profile in Liverpool apparently, big ticket seller and that.

Very hard alright in that with the boxing and the 'living the life bit', you'd really have only a handful of nights out in the year and as they get out so rarely, they hit it hard. Vicious circle.
Report neill d February 20, 2015 5:31 PM GMT
Yeah, I'm sure every hard case around would love to lay out a pro fighter to have it to say, especially a prospect like Selkirk.

Paul Smith put up a good show but  arthur Abraham class won out, I see Gennady Golovkin won last night as well, Martin Murray did well to last as long as he did; Gennady Golovkin is probably the best pound for pound fighter in the world.

Floyd Mayweather has confirmed that he will fight Manny Pacquiao in Las Vegas on 2 May in what is expected to be the biggest grossing single sports event in history.

Five years after negotiations between the pair first took place, the unbeaten Mayweather posted a picture of the signed contract on Friday.

“What the world has been waiting for has arrived,” Mayweather wrote. “Mayweather vs. Pacquiao on May 2, 2015, is a done deal. I promised the fans we would get this done, and we did. We will make history on May 2nd. Don’t miss it!”

“I am glad my decision to meet with Manny and discuss making this fight happen helped get the deal done,” Mayweather added in a statement.

“Giving the fans what they want to see is always my main focus. This will be the biggest event in the history of the sport. Boxing fans and sports fans around the world will witness greatness on May 2.   Mayweather being modest as uasulGrin

Gennady Golovkin is some fighter. His biggest problem is going to be getting people to fight him.
