my lack of input is because I find the forum has become stale and boring, perhaps a result of a falloff of previous punters and a lack of new entrants. once upon a time you had a number of sources of real information on this board, now all you seem to get is opinion, I have no interest in opinion.
I would not like to see this forum disappear, I don't have any problem with the verbal fencing threads(I don't read them), when they monopolise the forum, they dilute the overall intention. I have no problem with Wildman, workrider, paulie et al, knocking spots off each other, or discussion non sports topics....but can they not keep it to the one topic thread...so Wildman can open a politics thread, and under that one discuss everything from the gay referendum to water charges to elections....this way the board can be tidied up without applying censorship. plus I feel this board should not be used as an advertising vehicle to promote charities or fundraisers. try to keep It betting focused.
rocket no view on the rugby.
to conclude real information for you.
3 years ago, Wilson dennison and his salaried trainer colin mckeever produced one top pointer, briars hill, he won the festival bumper 2 years ago. 2 years ago the same team had one top pointer, shanes hill, last year he collected silver in the festival bumper.
the spring just gone, dennison and mckeever had one very good intended pointer. last march the then 4 year old was being prepared for the 4 year maiden point run at dennisons farm in loughanmore on easter Monday. as part of his preparation, he was brought down to Fairyhouse to run in a schooling bumper. this schooling bumper contained a number of decent horses being prepared for Fairyhouse and Punchestown, including a proper grade 1 horse. barry geraghty rode the grade 1 horse and he along with the dennison 4 year old sprinted clear of the remainder. barry arranged to ride a piece of work on the horse soon after and a deal was struck to purchase for chemical nicky.
a few niggles have held him up, but tomorrow at Kempton, the ex dennison horse lines up in the bumper at Kempton and I suspect will win it like the good horse he is. called newsworthy....and joint owned by ricci and buckley....this is the best bumper horse in hendersons.

GREAT to have him back (even if it was only a short spurt).....of course, some say he never left !
wildmanfromborneo • February 9, 2012 9:01 AM GMT Keen Leader is possibly the best poster on here, his treatise on the Laois Cork match was the most complete post ever, he had another brilliant post on Bayern Munich but i am saddened to discover that he is not just an ordinary poster. Mincer you are getting more like Lookingforthewildman in both views and an inability to understand posts, you wrongly castigate Catchmeifyoucan [another excellent poster] when he put up a year old post that relayed the same knowledge, the clue was the fact he underlined the relevant sentence.
All roads lead to THURSDAY 5th March in Francis McKenna's in Harolds Cross Bridge. Soapp, presume the panel hasn't changed much over the years - some on here will be even more Keenar to go this year

Every man and his dog was chatting about this chap when he was declared for an Ascot bumper in November.
He looks to be in the more straightforward of the two bumpers today as well as the second has a number of horses in it that are well touted. There is hardly anything hidden at 8/11 on a newcomer, although the above provides a good prologue. This was the bumper that Bob's Worth finished second in 5 years ago and Captain Chris was 4th. That form worked out ok I guess!
The second race looks a cracker and KL's friend Mark Howard wrote a positive piece on The Unit in his last update. I think it was 9/4 or so when withdrawn from its intended debut last week. The Ferguson horse was set to start quite a short price against the impressive Tom Fitz winner last week, so the vibes on two of these horses were given away a little at the time.
Ok Corral is an other attempt by the Magniers to get a useful horse in that name after the last one had a brief career with Tony Mullins, even if he did line the pockets of a few that laid him when Dessie called him rather than Paul Kristian in a bumper.
The Nicholls mare looked a pretty talented sort on her debut in France. The trip was too short for her, but under hands and heels she made up a lot of ground in the final couple of furlongs and looked a very nice type. She was quite weak in the market before being withdrawn in that incredible Wincanton bumper last week, so there is every chance that she will go off at a reasonable price here and I will have a little each way on her.

Yeah, but the market obviously knew WR, so you wouldn't have been betting on anything not already factored into the price.
Nothing wrong with backing odds on shots if you think they should be shorter.
