Its hard to gauge how many people won't go to Leopardstown because of their ludicrous precautionary inspection. The inspection was based on if the weather was to be really bad and we got terrible frost then we might not be able to race, that would apply to every winter date.
I watched the racing on television yesterday and this precautionary inspection notice kept flashing up,it was like a subliminal message. I was never going but anyone that was travelling had to be put off.
Thurles had a precautionary nspection on Thursday last, there was snow on the track on the Wednesday but it was always going to thaw and was raceable. The inspection was responsible for the smallest crowd be ever seem on the best days racing Thurles have had for years.
Why did they bombard us with this message on ATR,it seem to pop up every five minutes. Its a mild criticism of the stewards but a major criticism of the promotion of it,they approached it with zeal. Its as if they didnt want anyone to travel.

For people living in the west of the country, who might have to travel 3 or 4 hours, I think it's only right that they warn people that there is a doubt about it taking place. I went up to Dublin the day before the hennessey meeting a few years ago only for it to be called off due to heavy rain. Nothing they could do about that. But if the possibility that the meeting is going to be called off is known well in advance, it is only right that they let people know.

If it was ten degrees lower could apply to any race meeting.
Tocky Junior stick to your simplistic explaining of percentages and stop turning down scores.
