Another great week ahead with a star studded field out in the Middle East for the Abu Dhabi golf and a good field assembled in America aswell.hopefully a few winners can be found.
Il start of with the Sony open were ive just backed one player against the field,I decided to back Jason Day on Monday night after watching him have a great front nine.powers have this event priced up,so took the 18/1 on offer,
Second bet in the Sony open is John Daly for a top 20 finish at 20/1,he's made the cut the last two events in America,and he won a pro am event in Turkey before Xmas,so at the price I taught he was worth a few quid,
Now onto the middle of east were ive backed three guys against the field,
Rickie Fowler e/w 14/1,going to be a big year for Fowler,needs to start winning more events,really think if he gets an early win this year he could win three or four events this year,
Second player is Rafa Cabera bello,Ye I know he's causes me plenty of pain over the last year or so,but he loves playing out in the Middle East and at his price hes worth an e/w bet.
Last selection is thorbiorn Olesen,anoth player who has good form in the Middle East,

Speaking to the media before the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship, where he begins his 2015 campaign in the European Tour event starting Thursday, McIlroy said: "Every year, I fly to Dubai to do a week or 10 days of prep before the Abu Dhabi Championship, which is usually my first tournament of the year. "I write my goals down on the back of my boarding pass, memorise them, put it in my wallet and don’t look at them again until the end of the year. |

5 selections for me this week across the atlantic:
Russell Henley 25/1 Won this event in 2013 impressively on first app here which not many players do. Good performance last week gives further confidence and bound to show up well. Zach Johnson 25/1 Callit gives a good synopsis of his chances above and not much I can add. Brendan Todd 33/1 Keeping the ball in the fairways is the key to success @ this course and Todd does that as well as anyone. Has two top 20 finishes here on his only 2 apps and is a better player now than when he achieved those. Tim Clark 40/1 Great record here over the years including 2 2nd places.Ranked 2nd for driving acc last year also which is all important @ this course. Tends to play well @ all the short seaside courses like this on tour. Jerry Kelly 66/1 Backed him last year when he was placed in this @ a big price and almost felt obliged to back him again this year. Good show when finishing 5th in the OHL classic which can be a good sighter for here. Best of luck lads. |

Robert Karlsson looks a good 3 ball bet in the morning. Very consistent around here, 5-4 to see off a couple of has beens in Darren Clarke and Paul Lawrie looks a worthy wager. Karlsson didn't get the job done over 4 days last season, but he had quite a few hot starts. He should have more than enough tomorrow to see off these two.

David Lingmerth is a very good bet for Top Continental European in the Sony Open. Only Lad Brokes betting on it, which makes it harder to get on. But as always, the less firms betting on an event, the more chance of it being chalked up wrongly.
Fran Molinari is a short priced fav, yet has never played here, and has not been excelling on his PGA trips. He will need to putt better than is the norm, to make an impact here. Carl Petersson is the danger. Some nice form figures round here, but equally 4 missed cuts in his last 8 attempts. Only a small sample size, so I am not saying its evens he misses it this week, but he is a very hot and cold player. If we beat those two, I imagine we will beat Alex Cjeka., Lingmerth himself has not lit it up around here, but he now has some course knowledge, and imo is one of those players who is consistently under rated or ignored by the market. Improving all the while, he will also battle for the best possible position. 9-2 is definitely worth an interest. 4pts David Lingmerth Top Continental European 9-2 |

Its a late post, but anyone that can get on with Skybet at 7-4 or PP/SJ at 13-8 on Cabrera Bello for his early 3 ball should take advantage. He rarely goes a Thursday & Friday in the dessert without a low round. Recovered well today to finish on a respectable 2 under, and I fancy he will more than build on that in a few hours time. 2.5 on here would still be worth a bet.

Zach Johnson at 2-1 in this evenings 3 ball is an excellent price. Beaten by two shots by Walker last night, he is now a bigger price, and yet more likely to win imo. Walker was always likely to be pumped up for the first round, being defending champ and off the back of Mondays nightmare. Adrenalin can count for a lot. Quite often in such circumstances, they can bounce in round 2. If Zach holed what would be his expected amount of putts from the ranges he was missing from last nite, he would have been about 3 shots better than his end score. Considering he topped the field last week in strokes gained putting, it can be easily excused as jut a bad day at the office. Expect the flat stick to be motoring today. Russel Henley seems to be priced about right, but I would think Zach will account for him. 3pts Zach Johnson 3 ball 2-1 |

Morgan Hoffman looks a cracking 3 ball bet tonight. Done me plenty of Sunday favours last term, he seems one of these players who consistently go low from off the pace on Sundays. 15-8 is big. Scott Piercey looks good bet too, as does Timmy Clark. Also had small tipple on Clark outright.
