2 worthy of note tomorrow ,in the first Ruby's is worth a second glance , hardly broke sweat in the saddle last time at Navan , sure to be more vigorous tomorrow when the money is down , second one is also one of Rubys Aklan in the last , another who got under the stewards radar ...Good luck all punters...
Now snap dont you think you've made an idiot out of yourself enough tonight , I bet Callit is livid with you ,yourself and Pikey are a match made in heaven ..Two gobshytes for the price of one ,I 'd say that aul tipping line of yours is in deep **** atm , you'll be needing a bailout soon enough ..Pikey thinks he has money ,poor sod wasted it all on the big white house in Stillorgan ..No chance of a loan their mate , infact the ESB are after him looking for payment he's used so much of their energy ...

Lean Araig e/w (should be around 10/1)in the 3.30 has been crying out for this trip. A steady improver who is a half brother to three black type performers who have excelled at this trip (3 Miles), ran well at the Xmas meeting at Leopardstown and is in here on a very fair mark. He can be a bit novicey at his hurdles is the slight negative.
I think Turban E/W is the best treated horse in the last. His best hurdle mark was 141 and he is in here off 135, his current chase mark is 151. He has been making mistakes over fences on his last three runs so this may be a bit of a confidence booster. On all known form he is the best horse in the race.

Lean Araig has no chance off 116 in his first handicap. Awful placing of a horse by the trainer. Biggest problem with most of these fellas is they can train but cant place them. Horse should have had a few quiet runs and be entering handicaps off mid 90's. Another gem of mine and you will rarely lose money on it is to lay horses who have fallen last time out. You can place lay Turban quiet confidently.

Think he followed that one up with a 5/1 straight after Huddys, hopefully not putting mockers on him but easily the man in form on the forum, fair play. Sarah Battle ew at 8/1 though going against him in that 3.30, distance and going no problem for this consistent mare and looks sure to run well.

Very eye catching run from Michael Flips there,I doubt that was the plan,May have made a booboo there, Anyone know what route they'll be going with him,Cross Country perhaps given connections.

have too say that douvan was very impressive..love the way he just sauntered up with out a fuss..ruby didn't even move a hand..not sure how strong that race was but they were no mugs..im just wondering if this one will be better on good ground?..the supreme looks the race but the ground is your only talking point..will he be better for better ground?

The opening race is the race where will you most likely get at least some give in the ground with the current watering policy. Difficult not to be very taken by that performance today but at 5/2 favourite for the Supreme now.
Douvan's four races in Ireland and France have been on soft/heavy ground but you would probably have more ground concerns for Lami Serge who was well beaten when with Guillame Macaire on the only occasion he encountered good ground. Interesting to see Alvisio Ville hurdling again and could be JP's main representative. WPM is not averse to running multiple challengers in the supreme compared to some other races.
Mullins said: "He did that nicely. He jumped and galloped and did everything that he does at home. He does things very easy. "That race on paper looked stronger than the one Vautour won last year. I don't think ground or trip make any difference to him, and I'd imagine he'll go straight to Cheltenham now."

Mullins quote refers to Douvan today and Ruby's below.
Walsh said: "He did it very well. He travelled well, he jumped super. They were probably stayers he beat but they're decent enough horses, it was a good performance. He has the size and scope to be a beautiful horse next year - when he fills into his frame, he'll be some horse. "He has a lot of natural ability and hopefully we can keep him right and going the right way and get him to Cheltenham in one piece. "He's a very good horse, I'd say you could go any trip with him, two, two and a half - I doubt you'd have to go the Albert Bartlett but either of the other two (Supreme and Neptune) wouldn't bother me."

Reminds me very much of Sprinter Sacre (physical wise) when he was hurdling,Just looks too big to be hurdling. He'll be a sight to behold jumping a fence.

Chelt , he is very well put together ,and beat a reasonable field , doubt there were any world beaters in it though , wouldn't be putting my hard earned down this far out , will pm you soon...

I was very taken with him and im not one to over board..so I trust my gut and I think hes very good..wether hes good enough to win a supreme I don't know..but he will go close the ground is the worry his runs have had cut..so if it comes up good that may be the only thing against him/..although mullins is not worried so all systems go for him..i don't see any so far this side of the water that have made me get off my seat like this fella today..so..up to know hes one for me at the festival..although as has been said the price is silly..6-7 would be fair atm..imo

Portrait King, whose last win was in the 2012 renewal of the prestigious marathon Eider Chase at Newcastle, was a remote fifth entering the home straight but found bundles of reserves and in the end saw out the trip best of all, staying on for a five and a half lengths win over Rogue Angel.
Following the win, trainer Maurice Phelan stated he's had a lot of problems and has done a tendon and two pelvises all on different occasions. He'll come back for the three and a half miles race here in about three weeks which he won previously. All he does is stay and gallop.

Ha Catchme, a very unlikely looking winner turning in,it was easy enough in the end, Won it off 131,probably will get 5lb for that,7lb be a bit harsh imo,English handicapper could do anything,137 would be my guess. Even so you would still think it can be done off that on today, one to keep an eye on anyway. Good for Mr Phelan anyway, small trainer with only a few horses.

PA i wonder what the feeling must be like when someone lays one at 999/1 only to see it running on like Portrait King and winning, like Catch says £231 laid at the above price , i wonder was it the same dude, most likely not

Not too chirpy i,d say Frank, think that means a £115 matched,6 figures down the swanee, though he must have a huge bank and doing it all the time.Hindsight is wonderful but the front two horses were dead on their feet from a fair way out. could never have the nerve myself for long odds on backing, too much at risk for little reward.
