Evening all, I'm looking to go to Punchestown on Sunday and have heard that Bus Eireann go from Busaras in Dublin to Punchestown. Can anyone confirm this as i've looked on the Bus Eireann website and can't see Punchestown listed as a destination.
I know that Marathon coaches run transport to the Festival, but not for the rest of the season.
The Bus stop is in Naas and then get a shuttle bus or taxi from there. At the same time i would't suggest using Bus Eireann if at all Possible, timetables are very bad at being updated and cutbacks on a lot of routes. I missed the 1st 2 races at Punchestown Champion hurdle day this year due to this,i arrived at the Bus station in Dublin about 20 minutes before the next scheduled bus to Naas and waited about half an hour and then asked one of the attendants or whatever they're called and they said just to wait as there had been some delays and it would arrive. I waited about an hour and got fed up and asked about and found out there wasn't another bus for a few hours. Luckily i came across 3 other lads in the same boat and we got a taxi for 50 euro between us which was fair. If you have a people with you and can do that it'd be a lot handier and wouldn't be much difference in the cost if there's 3 or 4 of you.

Just saw this on another website, try giving them a ring. I don't know how accurate the information is. Not as many people going racing these days outside of the festival meetings but I remember there was always a race day service years ago. I remember going to Navan on the bus to see the late great Carvills Hill.

You're best bet is the train from Heuston to Sallins. Takes about 25 mins and if you're lucky you'll get a shuttle from station to Punchestown or a cab for a tenner.
