Was thinking 1/4 was a great price for the Germans.

However, Schuurle, Ozil, Reus and Schweinsteiger are out for the Germans.   Lahm, Mertesacker and Klose have all retired.

They still should beat us comfortably, but can MON and I, Keano, sprinkle some fairy dust and get something.  Can we dare to dream?

I hope we can get a win or at least a draw. Ozymandius and Rocketfingers will be very upset if the team do well.

What are you talking about Gant ya backward GAA yoke?

Just because your sport doesn't have an international stage, try and get behind one who does.

All Irish people get behind the national teams. Keep your bigoted views out of sport.

Must be a sickner for you when young lads see the lure of wearing Green and representing their country.

Bigot? Do you understand the meaning of the word bigot gant, Ozy is no bigot, you don't like him because he loves rugby which is a sport that is the enemy of gaelic basketball. Go and watch a real game of football tonight !!

Not at all. It's a pity they have to go abroad to ply their trade.

Rocket, why do you always make out one sport is an enemy of another. You may have a bad experience in Sligo but people will always find a sport they love to play/follow.

The big popular sports are not always the enemy.

I mentioned in passing today that GAA was a parochial sport, must have got his goat, Rock, for him to call me out like that.  He is so pitifully defensive about the whole thing.

It's awful, Rock. Not to mention the appalling language on the sidelines. And the over enthusiastic coaching staff, usually 4 to a team,  strutting and screaming at the kids when they should just shut up and allow the kids to develop their own decision-making abilities etc.

Whenever I watch an underage game live, I can't help but laugh/cry.

It's good to know you attend underage matches in the UK.

Enjoy the match lads. Don't come back on here later calling the fans barstoolers/bigots/ole ole brigade/ event junkies. Bury the hatchet lads and get behind the National Team.

Anyway back to the soccer, can't see us getting anything out of the game, even with all the German changes from the summer. Could be a repeat of our last game against them,3-0.

If anyone wants a laugh, have a look on odds checker at Spoils prices for 1st goalscorer, unbelievable. And I know we shouldn't consider them as real bookies but you have to laugh.

I think Pat Jennings and George Best are playing for Northern Ireland, after beating the Magyars away they are now going to beat them Bubble and Squeaks away.

And people criticised Donegal . To be fair , Germany dont seem to have much of a clue about dribbling past defenders --they are still allowed to do that , aren't they ?  Beating a man is a lost art , not confined to our own shores .

It is too hard to score in soccer .  Diminishes the game , especially for the spectators . Little to cheer about for either side in the first half .

Quinn backing off and then basically jumping out of the way. Useless.
