the right decision for now...but imo..it should only be temporary..when the situation stabilizes..these people should be sent back home..with help..and this should be the same in the uk and Europe...but I understand some will never go back..after what they have been threw..i have a kurd who lives a few doors from me..really nice guy...works hard..married to a Liverpool girl..he is going back to fight for his country..flys out tomorrow to turkey..he has no professional training..but feels he must do something..

I saw a list in the Sindo today of refugees taken in by Ireland.  The first lot were Hungarians in 1956.  I was at primary school with two of them.  They couldn't speak English!  We were told to go easy on them.

The Roma have been discriminated against for centuries, have no homeland we should take them in.

Sierra Leone is a lovely friendly nation but they can't cope with this Ebola outbreak surely we could take some of these sufferers and cure them.

your compassion is admirable Wildman-north tipp's finest moment.

we'll have enough homeland-less people to take care of once the shinners get their way. any room in Thurles for an ageing Scottish Presbyterian?
