A quick synopsis in who has played the course well the last few years;

Tiger Woods, 5wins,2nd,4th and 8th,last 10 years.
Rory Mc Ilroy 3 top 10,s from 5 attempts.
Jim Furyk  5 top 10,s from last 10 attempts.
Keegan Bradley 1st and 2nd last 2 years.
Jason Dufner 4th and 7th last 2 years.
Luke Donald 5 top 10,s from 9 attempts.
Steve Stricker 3 top 10,s from 7 attempts.
Hunter Mahan a win and 2 other top tens from 6 attempts.

Mention also to Angel Cabera 3 top 5,s, Oosterhuizen 2 from 3 top 10,s, M A Jimemenez 3 top 10,s last 5 years.

Recent tournament winners include McIlroy,Rose,Mc Dowell,Cabrera and of course Tim Clark, not sure is anyone playing consistently well,Mc Dowell,Rose,Furyk,Fowler,Todd and Garcia seem to me to be the ones.

Keegan Bradley is the one i ended up with at 28,s, will also do Callits Cabera at 66,s, also at 500+ going for the price of a second hand boat and taking up sailing(bolloxology) if Every or Crane manage to win.
Best of luck all.

3 selection for myself this week,
Tiger Woods after his smashing round last year of 61 couldn't but help the great man, hopefully he's back to his best,on a course he has an unbelievable record, the 16/1 seems a big e/w price for me,
Keegan Bradley as said already has a brilliant record on the course in his last two visits,
Cabera in great form, done great to finish so high in the open after a very poor Thursday,

Selections,
Tiger Woods e/w 16/1
Keegan Bradley e/w 28/1,
Angel Cabera e/w 66/1,

Cracking week(and next wk) to look forward to. Though Galway is priority this week(thankfully going well), I do believe there is money to made on the golf.

The Bridgestone is usually very easily solved....Tiger wins!! Is it that easy this year? No, but he might win!!

Adam Scott has to be the first port of call. A past winner, his whole agenda now centres around majors and WGCs. He has had a very light schedule of late, so wont mind going to the wire here with the USPGA next week. His Open effort was much better than the result suggests. Given a level playing field weather wise, he would have been second.....at worst. An opening 73 here last year derailed his challenge, and he done very well to finish in a share of 14th. He wont be far away. 12-1 is no longer available, but I do believe he should be favourite.

Tiger has on 5 out of his last 8 visits here. It seems strange to be offered 16, 18, and even 20-1 briefly on him. But he has his obvious drawbacks. Personally I think he is worth backing. He is so effective around here. If he gets off to a good start, he will click into that relaxed gear where he just expects to win, and he may do just that.

Having been on Jim Furyk last week, he confirmed fears that he may balk at the finish line. But at 25-1, he looks certain to contend. GIR is crucial around here, as is course form. Jim was superb tee to green last week, and he knows his way around here better than DKW knows Galway. He may not get over the line,....but he will have a damn good look at it.

The first player that jumped out at me this week was Angel Cabrera. The dual Major winner is in the form of his life. His iron play of late has been a joy to behold. He had a horrific first 9 holes in the Open, but recovered for a fine finish. He loves this venue, and its one where quite a few of the big names consistently struggle, and I cant for the life of me see how he is priced up so big. He's a great bet.

Cracking e.w terms this week with the limited field, so have added two more, namely Luke Donald and Brendan Todd. Both require a slight leap of faith, but both also have enough to recommend them to warrant backing.

Donald has been in poor form, but has excellent form around here, and at 66-1 he surely warrants an interest.

Todd has never been here, and that is a drawback, a big one. But at 90-1, there is not much expectancy, and he is a player in superb form, who will be a feature for years to come.

Steve Stricker wont win, indeed I don't see him winning again. But the 2-1 he was chalked up for Top 20 was huge. Indeed the revised 6-4 is still an excellent price and worth taking. He will pick his way around, and I will be very surprised if he isn't top 12 at worst.

2.5pts e.w Adam Scott 12-1
1.8pts e.w Tiger Woods 18-1
1.2pts e.w Jim Furyk 25-1
.6pt e.w Angel Cabrera 66-1
.5pt e.w Luke Donald 66-1
.35pt e.w Brendon Todd 90-1

8pts Steve Stricker 2-1 Top 20.

The best bet of the week may be in the lower key Barracuda Championship. 25-1 on Brendan Steel was massive, and the current 22-1 is still a great bet. He will be there on Sunday, his current form better than anything in this field, and he has threatened victory here the last two years.

1.5pt e.w Brendon Steele 25-1

Early start today with the leaders out at 2.00(sky 1.30).
Not looking too good this week for the thread as long odds on the winner will be either Rose,Garcia(an unreal back 9),or Mcilroy, looks a free for all for 4/5th places realistically.
Brendan Steele well up there in the Barracouda,Pod playing okay in a share of 14th in it.
Leaders to fall back and a Sergio charge by in my case Keegan isn,t too much to ask for today(also Munthir to win Stewards Cup as i,m at it). The glass is half empty.

It seems none of can hold our heads up high with our pre game tips ;such is the way of golf, however Callit was very strong on Brenden Steel in the Barracuda, i backed him at 23/1 and if he wins i will end up making a nice profit on the golf, hears hopeing
Report callitasucit August 3, 2014 2:47 PM BST
Scott still not out of it. I backed Serg at 9-4 and 2-1, so hope he doesn't fold, but such has been the nature of the final groupings this year, Scott might just come with a wet sail to mug them.

Steele missed a host of short putts in the middle of his rd yesterday. Could quite easily be leading. Been awhile since Ogilvy or Watney won, Steele may be the benefactor of a couple of stumbles tonight.

Between optimism and pessimism, the difference is droll. The optimist sees the doughnut, the pessimist the holeHappy

I'm a doughnut man!!

Francesco Molinari is a 2 ball cash machine on Sundays when out of contention. The 10-11 today is a cracking bet, and should be taken. 5.30pm tee off.

6pts Molinari 10-11
Report callitasucit August 3, 2014 7:21 PM BST
Harris English is also an excellent bet against Ryan Moore. Moore can be very shaky on Sundays when starting from a lofty position. English should
be the more solid of the two, and definitely should be fav. 11-8 in Boyles, or a general 13-10. 7.30 ko.

4pts Harris English 11-8

Complete boll*x talking about Ryder Cup when a WGC on. Coverage has been about 3 mins behind shot tracker, which is usually 3 mins behind live. They may as well not show it.

And to make matters worse.....what they are showing isn't pleasing meLaugh
