this looks a above average race for the track with 4 standing out,i backed AUTUMN SHADES last week but it was a n/r I noticed it attracted some money this race looks tougher..with HENRYS GIRL MOLLYCONNORS,BEHANA looking the ones to concentrate on..anyone got any views on the race ?
Hard race to have a strong opinion in Tony, not much between Molly Connors and Henrys Girl,Autumn Shades could be anything, throw in Meade/Harrington newcomers, very tricky to me.

Having a small bite of the Meade runner, He doesn't send many here and could get the purchase price back with a win here, Autumn could be the one to beat, Best of luck Tony.

Someone rightly complained on here that Gold Platinium should have got at least a mention for the race he was running last time till RO by some well known race analyist, can,t remember who said it on here but how right he was.

Ground should be fine(Flemensfirth like a bit of dig), Just they've had it back in the sales since he picked it up so might not be up to much, Suspect they have been looking for a weak race then try and move it on(A win would help in that respect) Some quality people here but many who don't want to discuss racing unfortunately so i tend to remain a silent reader.
Hoping Old Kilkash goes well tonight btw, Looked lame on last two runs so the break may have done him some good plus Barry deserves a change of luck, Had no luck but bad all year the man.

Good luck with that Tony, Not a race i have looked into tbh but at a glance it looks a weak affair. Lot of money for the Sweeney runner in the 6.50 so hope they land the punt.

tony57, as a matter of interest how do you arrive at these unraced selections in bumpers?
Did you see this horse wins its point to point in Askeaton and was very impressed by it or what?
Seems highly unorthodox selection process if the answer to the above question is a no

Hi Tony.......... why would you back a horse who won a 3m p2p around Wexford ............ I know u may think I`m after-timing but your punt was only a guess.

Maybe I'm missing something completely here but all these unraced bumper selections that he fancies seem to have no logical means by which they are selected, baffling to my mind anyway

You must remember Tony put up the Beginners Chase winner.I know the price was gone 11/4 but no doubt his Premium clients were all informed about it this morning.

Took the below from the ATR Stable Tour of Paul Nolan on January 27th. The horse Behemoth came 4th today in the 2m handicap hurdle, his first run in the handicap sphere. This was his third run since the comments below but I'd say there might be a prize in this fella somewhere.
Behemoth 5 b g Presenting - South Green Lady Won a point-to-point in March and has been sixth on both starts on the track.
"I thought in the autumn that this horse was the 'second coming'. I was dumbfounded by his runs in a bumper and a maiden hurdle. He's had a bit of time to get over that and we are only back going in full work now and we'll see how we get on. On homework you'd love him and say he's everything you want."
He was outpaced today and only plugged away for the place, but I'd guess he cost a few quid being by Presenting and owned by Gigginstown. Didn't see the race live (only replay), but an SP of 6's was much lower than the tissue predicted in the Post. I normally take it that they are relatively well fancied in that instance and the 16 runners will have appealed to e/w players this afternoon.
He's only five, should like better ground given his sire and can likely jump better than he showed today too. Going out in trip and a more galloping track should help too. He'll be one I'm going to back next time if conditions are more favorable. I know a few lads here wouldn't have much time for Paul Nolan, but I'm quite taken by the work comments as he has Defy Logic to measure against who must be an absolute monster on the gallops.
Also, that Gosden horse that won the Fillies maiden at Newbury today, Bright Approach... Buick went from educating her to blowing away a decent Charlton filly in half a furlong. It was alo done by coming from last to first and you know these early season maidens, the pace would not have been crazy.
The Gosden stable is flying obviously, and he has her earmarked for the Chesire Oaks next. Aidan O'Brien will bring one over for that which should make for a nice price on Bright Approach. Her sire New approach was the consumate athlete so I wouldn't worry too much about her going round Chester. She handled cut today and the dam is by Dalakhani so a sounder surface shouldn't be an issue either. She's one I'm looking forward to anyway.

Tony57 puts up his thoughts on the bumper, doesn't come up with the winner, this is pounced on by the usual suspects.
Tony57 also puts up the Novice chase winner at 11/4,he doesn't festoon the thread with booms but this is ignored by the usual suspects.
This is for the benefit of "the rock " If " the rock " were to chance entering a betting shop and have two euro on Tony57 two selection,he would lay out 4 euro but would have got back seven and a half euro, that would be a profit.

The Novice Chase Winner (as mentioned in passing as opposed to the main 'tip' of the thread) was nowhere near 11/4 at the time of posting, so unless you have access to a time machine you wouldn't have been getting this price.

Read the thread again,he gives no tip just discusses the race, then mentions in passing that he backed Autumn Shades in the exact same way as he mentioned in passing the Beginners Chase winner Highbrow Blue.

I felt the bumper horse was put up as a selection after forensic examination of the runners, hence the thread title.
anyway, he is gone, Borneo. We must move on, Comrade.

Bright Approach is running in the Cheshire Oaks tomorrow as we'll all have seen. The filly of Roger Charlton's that she gave first run and a beating to at Newbury first-time-out has since won a Goodwood listed race. She'll have to handle the track, but I'd say she will give AOB's Dazzling plenty to think about tomorrow. 5/2 with Powers at the minute.
