Yes

In fairness, he was always very good. I remember David Duggan raving about him on ATR week on week a few years back. Really fires horses into obstacles.

He could get over to the North of England and ride 100 winners a year from tomorrow.
Report workrider March 19, 2014 10:08 PM GMT
Yes i remember now , he rode Elsie for them when she fell at Punchestown , can't say I've been overly conscious of him as a top jockey tbh Neill ....

He's v good workrider, has had a few injuries that sidelined him for a while but is back in full swing now
Report workrider March 19, 2014 10:13 PM GMT
Still im surprised Willie is putting him up on one of RRS , surely there are more deserving jocks around ....
Report neill d March 19, 2014 10:14 PM GMT
I remember 3 things that Duggan consistently mentioned and was correct on Workrider: Michael Winters, For Bill and Mikey Fogarty!!

That is how he came to my attention. Be interesting to see what he does, go or stay around to fight it out with Townend down the line in a battle he probably can't win. I'd hate to see his career go like Davy Condons.
Report Pre-Fat-Low-Fat-Foods March 19, 2014 10:16 PM GMT
Townend wouldn't fight for anything
Report workrider March 19, 2014 10:17 PM GMT
Davy Condon is one of the most underrated and under used jockeys in Ireland imo...I think trainers have forgotten how good he is Neill...
Report richters March 19, 2014 10:18 PM GMT
does declan lavery still ride out in mullins?
Report neill d March 19, 2014 10:24 PM GMT
He'll be first jockey at Mullins' place eventually though you'd think. Paul Carberry and a bad tie-up in England fecked him though workrider.

When Carberry goes, I'd hope he'd get the non-Gigginstown pick of Meade and Elliot, but is that really that much of a prize? His prime is going up the wall. He'll ride plenty of winners this summer, though.
Report neill d March 19, 2014 10:24 PM GMT
First line is @ Pre
Report Bigwillystyle March 20, 2014 8:04 AM GMT
Unless I'm mistaken he rides out for Mullins a couple of times a week so that would be the reason he is getting the mounts.
Report easygold March 20, 2014 11:15 AM GMT
Getting the leg up on a Mullins horse is all down to Mr Donoghue helps when you have a good agent. Imo, he is o.k I wouldn`t use the words very good, I`m sure Neil you will see why in the near future, rides like he gave Le Vent D`Antan don`t go unnoticed??
Report Slabster March 20, 2014 2:30 PM GMT
He's definitely rode for Willie five or six times in the past to be fair workrider, and that's just off the top of my head. Rides out there as far as I know.
Report workrider March 20, 2014 2:44 PM GMT
Well lets see what happens ...
Report by purpose March 20, 2014 3:11 PM GMT
He only rode a winner for him 6 days ago at Cheltenham.Don Poli.Have ye all lost your marbles.
Report workrider March 20, 2014 3:28 PM GMT
I'm well aware he rode Don Poli having backed it , the fact he rides for Gigginstown says hes an ok pilot , the fact hes riding one of RICHIES is my query ...
Report Slabster March 20, 2014 3:29 PM GMT
Rode that Digeanta a couple of times too, and Passage Vendome.
Report Slabster March 20, 2014 3:29 PM GMT
Great chance for him even if Micky D is hardly the most reliable of performers!
Report by purpose March 20, 2014 3:38 PM GMT
Wonky.Go back and read your opening post you berk or better still go on out for lunch or go to a funeral or a swim.

Report silvergreaser March 20, 2014 4:07 PM GMT
In all fairness workrider Honey Pound usually travels well but doesnt often find what seems likely.
Report easygold March 20, 2014 4:08 PM GMT
Yeah backed the 2nd e/w, you go ahead Davy and keep the wins for the good Doctor on going.......... weak??
Report workrider March 20, 2014 5:37 PM GMT
by purpose , He only ever rode a winner for Mullins on the FLAT in Ireland before today , so who's the berk , You're trying to sound as if you were in the know , proved once again that you're only a chancer....
Report by purpose March 20, 2014 5:46 PM GMT
