In fairness, he was always very good. I remember David Duggan raving about him on ATR week on week a few years back. Really fires horses into obstacles.

He could get over to the North of England and ride 100 winners a year from tomorrow.

Yes i remember now , he rode Elsie for them when she fell at Punchestown , can't say I've been overly conscious of him as a top jockey tbh Neill ....

He's v good workrider, has had a few injuries that sidelined him for a while but is back in full swing now

Still im surprised Willie is putting him up on one of RRS , surely there are more deserving jocks around ....

I remember 3 things that Duggan consistently mentioned and was correct on Workrider: Michael Winters, For Bill and Mikey Fogarty!!

That is how he came to my attention. Be interesting to see what he does, go or stay around to fight it out with Townend down the line in a battle he probably can't win. I'd hate to see his career go like Davy Condons.

Townend wouldn't fight for anything

Davy Condon is one of the most underrated and under used jockeys in Ireland imo...I think trainers have forgotten how good he is Neill...

does declan lavery still ride out in mullins?

He'll be first jockey at Mullins' place eventually though you'd think. Paul Carberry and a bad tie-up in England fecked him though workrider.

When Carberry goes, I'd hope he'd get the non-Gigginstown pick of Meade and Elliot, but is that really that much of a prize? His prime is going up the wall. He'll ride plenty of winners this summer, though.

Unless I'm mistaken he rides out for Mullins a couple of times a week so that would be the reason he is getting the mounts.

Getting the leg up on a Mullins horse is all down to Mr Donoghue helps when you have a good agent. Imo, he is o.k I wouldn`t use the words very good, I`m sure Neil you will see why in the near future, rides like he gave Le Vent D`Antan don`t go unnoticed??

He's definitely rode for Willie five or six times in the past to be fair workrider, and that's just off the top of my head. Rides out there as far as I know.

I'm well aware he rode Don Poli having backed it , the fact he rides for Gigginstown says hes an ok pilot , the fact hes riding one of RICHIES is my query ...
