Augurs well for the well being of the Irish NH game. Winner must be 1.05 or shorter to be trained in Ireland despite it being 8/1 the field

lol I think the first 6  home were Irish trained, remarkable and miles clear. Weld clearly stated when interviewed that there was nothing between his 2 and the winner would love the ground yet they went the opposite way in the market

Big drift on Silver , surprising when you take on board your post lustrumm . Relatively easy winner , and those colours are easy to spot for any of us Irish .

I never backed the winner but when RUK interviewed Weld this morning he said he had worked them together twice and nothing in it and the only difference today would be who best handled the track. Smullen gave up the outside to no one and Robbie Mac proved what we know already i.e. he is a genius on a horse

Robbie Mac confirms the same, nothing between the pair at home. Remarkable how the punters latch onto one at a big meeting

Is that Weld's first festival winner since Rare Holiday won the Triumph in 1990? I can't remember any since then.

he only had the one until today. He actually gave a great interview to RUK and seemed in great form having the craic with the interviewer unlike the flat where he can be testy at times. Days like today are like a holiday to him I guess

The English really couldn't care less about what was always an Irish tradition anyway, and I'm sure those French who are making bundles out of Rich Ricci among others never even flinched.

Not sure how the French are making bundles out of RR.
Champagne Fever, Faugheen and others bought in Ireland - good mix really.
Man just buying horses - u make it sound as though he is being had?
Report lustrumm March 13, 2014 3:19 PM GMT
I would say there is plenty more would like to be had the way Rich Ricci has been had, Barry Connell to name one anyway and throw in Gigginstown as well. 2 winners and a short hesd second in 3 grade 1's in the first 2 days all young horse that look like they will all be back for more for years to come

The Irish challenge is really poor Mullins aside. So far 5 winners, 3 Mullins, 1 Harrington, 1 Weld. No chase winner after 3 days of racing.

surprised me how poor the irish chasers have done so far..although I had morning assembly e/w and he did ok..but winning seems to be a problem ..chasers..i mean..
its been a poor festival punting wise for me ..champagne fever and shotgun paddy let me down day 1 and it was bad day..day 2 was saved by silver concorde e/w..today has been poor..i can only hope my nap saves me..CALIPTO,..and as ive said im between the 2 in the fox hunters..if the nap wins..i,ll still be down..but it wont be that bad.
