Maybe its just me but I can never seem to catch a mullins winner when it comes to bumpers,
Report tony57 February 16, 2014 7:26 PM GMT
he has no more before chelts that are good enough to go wr..he does have a few too run as he has 30 stores..but as too anything to go to the festival..i doubt it..the 2 wylies owned will be his runners(imo)and royal caviar.

W.R, ITS a race to stay clear off, the prices of the winners in the last few years are as follows, briar hill 25/1,  champagne fever 16/1,  Cheltenian  14/1,and cue card 40/1  ..even the trainers are not sure who they best horses are [including Willie mullins] To be fair theres looks to be a couple of good ones amoung the last 4winners.Happy

Frank , the good news is i backed Briar Hill last year .What i'm saying is his recent runners don't seem to be carrying the same sort of hype as usual this year ..Last year everything he ran was the winner of the bumper ...
Report workrider February 16, 2014 9:18 PM GMT
Sorry Tony , you just might be right re Wylies , I was told before his win at Naas that he was the one , before we forget , England now seems to have got the hang of this bumper thing , so we shouldn't be to surprised if once again they produce ....
Report workrider February 16, 2014 9:19 PM GMT
SHANESHILL THAT IS...
Report tony57 February 17, 2014 1:24 PM GMT
Ireland will win the bumper this year wr..we are weak over here this year ..what one ?..well that's the question?
Report Goretski February 17, 2014 1:33 PM GMT
WR, iyo which one of the wylie ones would seem to have a better chance in the bumper?
Report workrider February 17, 2014 5:24 PM GMT
What I've been told is that Shaneshill is the best Goretski...

The're consistent if nothing else , another second there....
Report dj876 February 20, 2014 5:04 PM GMT
If you had a decent 5 lb or 7 lb claimer on board, all those placed horses would be winning but they're not too bothered.
Report workrider February 20, 2014 5:13 PM GMT
Cant agree dj , some of them simply ain't good enough ..  Although  Patrick didn't exactly cover himself in glory there...
Report tony57 February 20, 2014 6:11 PM GMT
some of them are not goodenough your right wr..but dj has a point..i don't think they are worried..they happy with the staus qo they don't want a claimer in the yard..when was last time you seen a claimer on any of his runners?
Report workrider February 20, 2014 6:23 PM GMT
They don't do claimers Patrick is king...

Willie  might just have pull one out of the hat WR,   WILLIE MULLINS' liking for Killultagh Vic voiced earlier in the week was made to look highly appropriate as the Cheltenham Festival prospect slayed the highly regarded Golantilla.

While supporters of Golantilla can take refuge in a satisfactory return on his first start for nearly a year, Killultagh Vic may now deserve his own fan club after a ground-melting burst of acceleration under Patrick Mullins.

The 2-1 winner looks sure to join Mullins' contenders for next month's Weatherbys Champion Bumper, aiming to give the trainer a ninth win in the race, and was installed 7-1 second favourite by BetVictor for festival success.
Report workrider February 23, 2014 8:56 PM GMT
To my cost Frank i backed Golantilla , thought he looked a picture in the paddock and backed accordingly ...That's racing for ya....
