" in a smart fashion "
Look he accepted your plea for friendship. He got flak for the unprovoked attacks, got flak for the risible accusations, gets flak for his blinkered thinking and stilted way of gambling, gets flak for his civil service speak, gets flak because he comes across as a charmless humourless individual who doesn't know what's it like to live. |

Have to agree with ye there dj,for all endas huffing and puffing about political reform he has only followed in ffs footsteps, the jobs for the boys culture is still very much alive, lucinda creighton imo a very capable politician but was silenced and eventually given the elbow by enda,Kenneth never came across to me as the brightest and after reading his book that was confirmed to me,i dont understand this courting of high profile sports people by political parties at all,its not only fg,they all would be at it,its not that long ago sf were courting donal og cusack....

what utter nonsense.
If anyone is blinkered and stilted in their way of gambling, it's you. Your approach to gambling hasn't evolved since the 50's despite all the tools on offer to improve it. You maintain this ridiculous macho pretence that 'all in' is big and brave when in fact it is neither. |

I enjoy my betting,DJ876 is tortured and doesn't enjoy it,you don't even bet.
All those rules he has,all that verbiage but no sense of the enjoyment of a bet. You are like a scavenger on here hoping to pick up scraps but the real pleasure in gambling is when your own selection wins. Ye have no souls which is why ye are perfect partners. |

Wildman,
With respect you don't know the first thing about me and if you think I don't have a passion for racing you're badly mistaken. I regularly travel to all the major racing festivals in the UK and have done since I was 17 and have definitely punted on tilt in the past but have learned from my mistakes. |
|
By:
what exactly is behind this remarkable assertion that I don't bet btw, i have never understood it?
You are so entrenched in your views of the world and gambling that you are not willing to entertain anything new, progressive or different. I guess a lot of old people are like that, you seem to be an extreme example. |

And as regards the passion, I love most sports and love a bet!

we know oz,sure didnt ye tell us already your dad owned osses (mostly flat)
|
|
By:
quite right, dickie.
|
|
By:
you remember the osses names oz(the flat wans)
|
|
By:
yes all of them, very well, Dickie. Great days.
We were lucky to have had one half decent one which paid for quite a few others. |

Ozymandius doesn't remember the horses names because they never existed so he will once again evade questions.
DJ876 you learn a lot from people's posts, whilst you are considerably younger than Ozymandius you are tortured, you have no joie De vivre, that all young men should have. You are a perfect fit for Ozymandius,Rocketfingers and Kingrat in that ye live loveless lives,ye have never known kiss of sweetheart, never known caress of wife. This may be by choice in your instance but there is melancholia there and despite your good job there is a void. |
|
By:
Caress of brass is a hell of a lot better....than caress of wife......at least ya don't have to listen to the wife afterwards.....
|
|
By:
Ozymandius does know the caress of brass.

Foggy how profound , exactly as you said , the only difference been Your age.....a) they are a similar age and thus have been shaped by similar cultural factors so think in lockstep
OR b) he praise them so often and goes out of his way to regurgitate their winning selections that they are too flattered to risk upsetting that flow of compliments OR c) they feel safe and cosseted as part of a tribe wherin they know they will get support on issues even if they are in the wrong. |

Back to racing . Morning Assembly is 12/1 with PP at moment for the RSA chase , 10.5 to lay on here to a fair bit of money . Value at least to trade . Nobody else is over 10/1 .
