A very uninspiring card, kicking off with 3 maiden hurdles,3 tough handicap hurdles and the bumper. With such good racing coming up Thursday and the weekend probably better to keep the hand in the pocket,no harm in having a look anyway.
1.05 Mares maiden.
Really looks as if its all about Feenakilmeedy here, and whether it is backed, made up 10L turning in to be just denied, finished full of running, hard to go against her.
1.35
Is Love alive,s last run ought to be good enough, lees than 3L behind Master Nibbles, the rest don,t seem to have that level of form, maybe with the exception of Bar Stool Bobs runs behind The Job Is Right and The Game Changer.
2.05
No opinion.
2.35
A few here with a chance,Wandering Aengus being a couple of Lengths off the ill fated Beachdale Lad reads well has a long absence to overcome however,Rightvilles Boys 2nd has been franked by the 3rd after winning in albeit a poorish race. Allez Vics 7L off Sea Light also reads well and he ought to be involved, as should Drive On Locky,s 2nd in a big field handicap at Navan last week. The one with the most interesting bit of form is Moss Street, just a length off Ivan Grozny, all in all a tough race and a watch.
3.10
No Opinion
3.40
Another very hard handicap where again a fair few have a chance, thought Jacks Island was running a good race in the x country at Chel last time, just a watching brief on him as likely to see him back there in March.
4.10 Mares bumper.
Hard to go against the likely short priced fav in Miss Mardan, very good reappearance from a lay off on new years eve.
The question mark may be Tyners horse who should have a good idea where he stands through Perfect Promise.

Report pa lapsy • January 22, 2014 12:27 PM GMT
Tyner is sending a few up there with a chance alright Tony, just the two bets for me there as was impressed by both their last runs,Feenakillmeedy and Miss Mardan.GL

A stinky drift on the Byrnes one.
Report tony57 • January 22, 2014 1:11 PM GMT
the shark just been on ruk there pa..doesent give his 3 much of a chance?..so back them all!ha
Report pa lapsy • January 22, 2014 1:15 PM GMT
Low profile for me for the rest of the day tony, when things like that happen at the first hurdle not much point in pushing it.
Report callitasucit • January 22, 2014 1:16 PM GMT
How does the Shark get so much press time, and with it the belief that he is anything other than a very poor trainer? His strike rate is horrendous.
Report pa lapsy • January 22, 2014 1:23 PM GMT
Yeah just looked it up there, knew it was bad but worse than i thought,15 winners from 295 runners in the last year,a fraction over 5%.
Report ko2 • January 22, 2014 1:29 PM GMT
draycott place was impressive the day it won its point, was very disappointing in bumper since but maybe step up in trip here will help it

It shocking Pa. Yet he is talked about as being nearly one of the 'Big Ones'. Hidden Cyclone could have been a serious tool in my opinion. Now Barney Curley, he's a different matter............!!

Beaten about 500 Lths in its last 6 starts DingleLaugh, where would you be going? Might put that one in a notebookMischief.
Kinda miss Barney but seems he has had an apprentice.
Very good horse alright Callit, travels like a dream.
Report roadrunner46 • January 22, 2014 1:54 PM GMT
checked the fairyhouse card all big fields with lots of horses much the same form, why anyone would even consider betting there today?
have to spend all day checking the form on those races and still be lucky if you found one winner.

Know some people would be against him but always did admire his patience and the way he played the handicapping system. Usually ended up targetting an AW mickey mouse 2k race, pulled the trigger and made the books scream, hardly ever got it wrong, hope they (the books) will be squealing like pigs by the end of the day.

Someone was very sure it would be in the first 3. They got the bonus of it winning!

Goodman Mick,nice winner.
Cup and Saucer, twas a bad drift but an act of God what happened to her at the 1st hur, was ashamed of myself for backing her and said it in the opening paragraph about it being backed, very slack and broke my own rule of waiting with that stable till sure.
Report dinglemick • January 22, 2014 6:09 PM GMT
thanks lapsy ....Like you said an uninspiring card .... much better fare ahead the next few days with Gowran , Cheltenham Trials day and Leopardstown ......
Pity Liz Doyle doesn t have more runners ... Barney might even start using her LaughLaugh

I hear there is sightings of a broken down horse box near kempton at the moment LaughLaugh

Spent the afternoon scourging meself with a mixture of blackberry and furze branches across the back after the dopey bet on the Byrnes runner Dingle ,ended up well with the bumper so all good, still though an uninspiring card Day dream Boy could have been done tying in with your winner.
Great name if that Kempton horse does it,as its anything but now at this stage.
