Marco Fu looks well worth backing against Judd Trump in todays 1pm kick off. In my opinion Fu is always overpriced against the games elite, simply because he seems to raise his level when faced with them, rather than against someone he should beat, yet invariably struggles to.
This should set up nicely for him, Trump has not been in great form the last 12 months. And is hugely overrated in any case. He will give Fu plenty of opportunities, and 3.35 on him taking enough of them to get 6 frames is definitely worth taking.

First time i watched a frame of snooker in years(the deciding one),no bet myself(might have had if seen Trumps "hairstyle" beforehand) but you certainly had a nice "value" bet there Callit as as you said Fu was big.

P.POWER were giving 10/3 yesterday on Ronnie o sullivan winning the masters, seems a good bet.

I backed Robbo and Ding outright, both e.w at 11-2 and 15-2 respectively.
Personally think Ronnie is a massive lay today. First round is the time to get him, when he advances past it, he usually settles into a tournament, and can prove hard to beat. But his demeanour and antics of late have not been the same controlled, focused Ronnie that showed up at the Crucible last April.
At 1.13 in match betting, and 1.57 minus 2.5 frames, both look big lays to me. Milkins may sh*t himself in sight of the winning line, and I will trade out a bit if he hits odds on. But he wont have any huge expectations in the early stages, so hopefully can take the chances that Ronnie has been presenting most opponents of late.
Obviously Ronnie could decide today is a going day, and win it in an hour, but at the prices im more than prepared to pay to find out.

Generally in the major tournaments there is close to a free trading opportunity with regards to Ronnie.

Obviously this example  can't be taken as illustrative to general circumstances (in terms of the extent of profitability) because of the manner of his opening victory but as Callitasucit indicates ROS is most vulnerable in the earlier rounds when the shorter format increases the likelyhood of a shock (this applies to ROS more than anyone where confidence and mood can be extremely volatile).

There is often a wide discrepancy between the price on the match betting in his opening matches and the impact an impressive victory can have on contracting his outright price. There was bits of 4.3 on here available outright  but just for argument sake say you had €500 on ROS outright at 4.0 prior to the match and simultaneously laid him in his opening match for €500 at 1.13.

If he loses in the opening round you would have broken even (add on a bit more for commission if one of my stalkers wants to be pedantic). Now trade out by laying €500 at 2.84(liability of €920),you're left with a now risk free chance of making €515 (before commission)

As I say this is an extreme example because of the manner of the victory and often you might have to lay him in 2 or 3 individual matches to create the right trading opportunity and sometimes it might not be possible at all but it's risk averse and  rare that you would  incur a significant loss.

Very true, Ronnies opening success will usually have far more bearing on the outright market than his pre match odds suggested a victory would have.
To be honest Ronnie was made look better than he was last night, and his price now is an overreaction. Milkins was hopeless, punishing none of Ronnies misses, where a player the likes of Robbo would have been cleaning up and putting pressure on Ronnie when next at the table.

PP have Ronnie -2.5 frames evens everyone else is 5/6 -4/5

over the best of 19 l think the -2.5 is a great bet from what l've seen this week he's head and shoulders above the rest.

Good call Frank. No hindsight needed, you said it at the time. Fair play. Robbo, Selby and Ding will have to up their game considerably to land a blow in Sheffield. Possible they have bit of burn out?? Ron looked fresh as paint.
