I now understand Gigginstown a bit better

Horse wouldn't quicken at half mile as I saw it , Arkle .  I only backed it for a place , so OK .

The horse may/may not have been able to quicken and I accept that. My problem is how he set him off at the start at the tail of the field and kept him nearer last than first over the first couple even though the pace was slow.

Problem , send in ?

Thought the horse was well placed just before the half mile mark , then it would not quicken , and I think it hit 4/1 for a place which suggests I was not the only one who noticed the inability to quicken .  Presumably those "making the market" are on course . I was actually surprised he finished so close up to the winner . Would like to see the head on , I only saw the side on .

The fact that its a half brother to Rocky Creek and Tell Massini 2 mls was never going to play to its strengths.I presume Russell rode to orders over a trip that didnt suit he horse.Easy kick a guy when he is down but for me he done little wrong.

By purpose you say it needs further and that is probably true. But that makes the ride even worse.

Do you know if he was told to drop it out as it was in the bumper in Limerick.I dont know but im only guessing he was.Maybe its the trainers fault for giving wrong instructions.

According to ATR reportage the trainers son vindicated DR ride .  Said the horse ran flat .

He possibly did ride to instructions and perhaps did it very well.
