Pity about M Ben,probably one of his best rounds of jumping prior to departure, thought he wasn't out of it at the time.

They said it was a shock result .  The big shock to me was the Betfair price of 18.5 , which was too high .  Did not back it , nearly did , kicking myself .

Yeah Norn , found out again sadly , a real pity they keep trying to get the 3 miles in Ireland with this lad , Kempton is the place to take him if they can bring themselves to....

Every time Danny Mullins gave him a nudge he picked up the bridle again, would have loved to see him stand up but the winner won half the track, what are they trying to prove with S E??

Maybe Kingrat and Ozymandius will now understand " the value of Workrider "

Its ridiculous persisting with three miles for Sizing Europe,he had a hard race there again, its not as of there aren't lots of conditions races for him at two two and a half miles.

Borneo.Your friend workrider recommends bringing SE to Kempton yet you think its foolish persisting with trying to get 3 mls.Your friends will be a tad confused.

The trip stretches him and he is past his best, stick to trying to mop up 2m - 2 1/2m over here and then go to the festival for the Ryanair

Shock alright. I wouldn't be rushing to back Mount nto though. He just too error prone, obviously not the brightest. Shame, because he clearly has an engine.

Sizing ran a gallant race though legless at the finish, rain and soft no help but the remainder behind well beat.
Probably would have been 3rd only for Mount B, pity for him didn,t jump great last year either and a horse hard to back for that reason.

BYPURPOSE , What i men't by that statement was , they think he will get 3 miles over here , well we all saw with our own eyes he doesn't really stay the distance , but the King  George has been won by horses who don,t stay 3 miles , Hens 2 mile champ who won it when he was 11 , and Tom Georges horse who never won over 3 miles other than Kempton....

15.40pm WR you said Kempton is the place for him if they can bring themselves to go.Is it your opinion the horse will stay 3mls in Kempton or not....
By:
Santry
When: 02 Nov 13 16:27
Sizing Europe is past his best and does not stay 3 miles. If he could not win a race like todays he will not win a race that is as competitive as the King George. There are races to be won with him here this season over shorter distances but even that will not be easy.

When: 02 Nov 13 16:53
Well called WR.

The damage was done as much throughout the first 2.5 miles as in the last half mile. As happened the year Kauto Star beat him, he jumped very deliberately and was slow over many of the fences. He's just not fluent or quick enough jumping at a slower pace than he's used to. I wouldn't bother with Kempton with him, three miles is three miles if you ask me. Last years race was a real slog and they ften finished strung out like the washing behind Kauto.

Thanks  Slabster  , poor lad was out on his feet , hopefully they now realize he does not stay , having said that , they always find an excuse to make it seem like he's worth persevering with over the 3 mile ....Surely after today that is out of the window...

When: 02 Nov 13 17:08
Surely its obvious to you what i'm saying bypurpose , i said he doesn't get the three mile , if they want to continue with this ill advised plan , what i'm saying is the only place i can see it coming to fruition is Kempton...
By:
Slabster
When: 02 Nov 13 17:09
Yeay you're right WR. I thought he's be better able jump at that speed these days but his main asset (high cruising speed and ability to jump at pace) is wasted at this trip.

Plenty of races for him over shorter trips at any rate.

Hard to know what you meant. You mention a Tom George horse that only got 3 mls  in Kempton. You didnt name it but i can only presume you meant Nacarrat.Am i right?

Thats the one  by purpose , a grey , not 110% sure if he won anywere else over 3 miles ..that is my opinion on the matter and am not in the humour of getting into an argument , feel free to have your own opinion on the matter though...

Funny your right he never won over 3 mls anywhere else.He only managed to win the Charlie Hall in Wetherby over 3m 1f and the Tote Bowl in Aintree over the same trip.

Good call on Sizing today WR. Though I have my reservations about whether it was truly stamina that caused the defeat. He was beat far enough out, and didn't jump with his usual zest. Though that can be attributed to trying to rein him back and conserve his stamina. Personally would loved to have seen him in a good ground King George, and let him rip. I fear their chance has passed.
Good luck to anyone punting tonight. Im off out for a nights gambling and drinking, then stumble home for the golf in the early hours!!
Will back The Fugue, Unbridleds Note, New Years Eve, Secret Circle, Wise Dan and Dank for starters. Will inevitably back a few more, and top up on those as the beers disappearGrin

It sickens me to hear Wokrider giving out about people stirring on here when he is the biggest culprit(along with the RA'S choir leader who is potentially the dumbest person on here which is quite a feat) with his immature gibberish and inane smileys.

WR puts up a lay of a 3/1 shot.ie 1/3 -No reference to price because he doesn't understand odds but I presume he thinks that's value.

Calticsucit asks WR,what price do you think Sizing Europe should be??
Workrider replies I think they have it about right of course @ 14.30 he's 9/4.
So he's bet is now 4/9 but it's priced correctly even though it was value at 1/3.Crazy
Naccarat never winning over 3 miles apart from Kempton-Another nugget from the paddock judge

Edreddon Bleu was Henrietta's horse btw.

Well done Slabster on your well reasoned 5/2 winner and you even had reference to price.
(Pity the forum's Chairman directed the  thread to pointing out the value of the paddock judge)

Workrider, hypothetical question for ya,for 4/9 to be value, what is the minimum amount of races out of 9 that selection would have to win??

I layed him @ 4.2 and was happy to do so   , so for me that was the right price ....I don't analyze markets the way you do . We had this value debate on here awhile ago , the value for me today , is now in my account ...You can analyze markets till the cows come home , at the end of the day its not the THEORY that buys stuff in the shops ...Its cash in the bank ...

You can't know if something is value if you don't understand odds.
