I see they did the small man again yesterday. They are a f u c kin disgrace. Spineless corrupt gob **** es. Where are they when JP has a non jigger. When was the last time one of JPS got done? If i remember correctly it was 10 years or more. I think Mark Walsh rode it and he got 40 day suspension. Who is first jockey for same owner in Ireland now? Yes u guessed it. Mark Walsh is a very poor jockey. About the same standard as Rothwell is as a trainer.
Bigwill, the only guys who are ever done are nobody trainers and some little known conditional jockey and only then on the rare occasion, the rest are virtually untouchable as they might be upsetting a pal if they banned them, its basically a free for all in Ireland.

They can have no complaints. It was a shocking effort, race fell apart when The Mighty Milan didn't perform to his ability, if put into the race properly Authorization would have won

mighty milan huge odds on fav pulled up, do the little guy, I'm sick of screaming about this incestuous relationship, and the odd media guy hints but is not brave enough to tell it how it is that the Irish racing authorities are all stud owners, stud owners sell to trainers/owners, jockeys ride them, think about it guys we really have no chance?

how can the racing authorities ever have any credibility when they're mostly stud farm owners, think about it guys, its a disgraceful incestuous operation, as a punter, who let it be said if the punter didn't bother their backside in the morning backing on this recreation, the whole goddamn lot of them would be out of a job?.

They were plain stupid. If the jockey had half a brain he would have tried to win the race when the fav was pulled up. With all their shenanigans the horse has ended up lame. Idiotic behaviour.

gotchee still doesn't excuse the shameful love in that is Irish racing.
Oh sorry Joseph has a weight problem, hang on a minute guys this can be sorted in a few seconds, at the start of Josephs first season as a professional jockey, we'll sneak it in under the noses of everyone, all maidens, condition and group races will be perfectly ok for the golden boy.
I know we have an 8st4 limit for lightweight jockeys but it was imperative that we up the weights for these races?, how the gutless media let this go is beyond me?,it told me all I need to know about racing journalism, a disgrace to the people they claim to represent.
They don't mean a thing to me, a disgusting excuse for journalism and you know something they know they are which makes them even more vile as the slurp from the trough.

The raising of the weights was discussed and agreed seven years ago,it just took awhile to implement it.
People are heavier now and the days of natural seven stone men are long gone.
Its a mark of your paranoia and prurient interest in the OBriens that you seek to blame them for everything.

The weights were raised back in 2006 Wildman I think? bringing the minimum up to 8st4, the raising of weights for condition, group & maiden races was never an issue until along came a jockey from a powerful stable who had problems controlling his weight, all of a sudden a convenient weight change was covertly sneaked in.
If the rest of the world thought there was a problem with these type of races you would think they would follow Irelands lead?, they didn't because there isn't a problem.
Paul Carberry and many like him would've loved to have such a powerful influence when riding on the flat, they had to give in to their weight problems so the jump game became inevitable.
Wildman I know you're not naive but in this case you're steadfastly refusing to accept that powerful forces were at work for these weight changes to be thrust under the noses of everyone just before the start of the flat season, even the media didn't have an inkling that this was about to happen, it took everyone by surprise.

For what its worth Silver I agree with you about the timing of the increase being dubious to say the least.I actually think I pointed it out first on a thread about the Jockey's Championship. However as your views on the issue are well documented do you really need to hijack totally unrelated threads to go on and on about it?

well maybe it was a little off topic tolmi but we are talking about stewarding or the lack of when it comes to the more powerful forces in racing so it was not entirely off topic, as bigwill says it was the small guy again who they singled out even if it was deserved, the day they start catching the big guys or should I say untouchables? will be the day I give Irish stewarding some respect but I won't wait up.

Wouldn't it be very interesting viewing if that horse went and won a handicap hurdle at Leopardstown at Christmas , or some other meeting televised by RTE racing? !
