Ozy I'm not a financial expert but I do know if you give people less then they spend less, give them more and they spend more?.Do you think all the under 25's are spongers most of them are crying out for a job.

She was waffling on about them possibly getting a job in a supermarket [as she did for her first job she said] and it would help thembecome independent. She does not seem to realise these supermarkets will now only offer 20 hour contracts spread over 5 days [my mate is a manager with Tesco and uncle with M&S] so how you can become independent off that getting a tenner max an hour?? Showed that she turned up on the tv without doing any homework at all and just trying to blag her way through it.
Also i cannot believe the percentage of people she said have got full time jobs from taking these interships they're now offering to those on the dole, her figures sounded pie in the sky to me.

Also if you raise taxes to pay for increased welfare, then there are less tax dollars in circulation, thus offsetting the benefit of more welfare dollars in circulation.  That leaves increased borrowing to fund any increases.  Excessive debt acts as a brake on an economy.

Economic growth is the only way out of the morass, and, granted, austerity does not seem like the best way to achieve this. However, alternatives such as inflation, stimulus (technological and infrastructure rather than welfare), leaving the Eurozone..all provide their own pitfalls and could be even more painful.  There are no easy answers.

Why give travellers with 8 or 9 children 50 or 60,000 in benefits every year on top of a free house...not to mention all the robbing the whole family also do.. whilst forcing honest young people with an education to emigrate??...social welfare should be capped at 40,000 for starters ....

How much does it cost the state to pay for the huge increase in crime particularly robberies?, take their dole away and you create a whole new generation of thieves which is usually an inheritance.

Well there was an excuse wildman for Neesons/McDonells to be packed out this week as Moorefield beat their town rivals in the county final.

They done it up after pub spy gave it a going over its barely recognisable now, probably the best smoking area in Newbridge, actually since they done it up its attracted a whole new clientele along with the usual racing regulars.

Wildman is ok, he came from a rich farming background and mummy and daddy set him up in life by leaving him land which sold during the boom years after his building firms fell by the wayside he is making a living now renting farm machinery out at extortionist prices to his neighbours, but he is ok and mummy and daddy left him plenty of lolly.
