I can't answer on here, but the -2.25 with the Asian books went from 1.84 out to 1.93 from what i can see, so i'm sure this was in some way reflected in the match odds on here but big drift i would say no, few cents at most.

Whether we are "expressing ourselves", "shutting up shop", or using "the high ball game" no difference.
Swatted like flies.  At least our goalkeeper kept warm.

Some classic king quotes after the game last night,Apparently if we'd have scored from the corner the Germans broke from to make it 3-0 we'd have all been delighted to be beaten 2-1 CrazyLaughLaugh

Yep played with damage limitation written all over it, yet Ireland had at least 4 great opportunities to score to get my bet up, both teams to score, but Stokes messed most of them up.

Stokes was awful last night silver,Now we can see why trap never fancied him.

awful is an understatement CR, but we're not exactly flushed with decent strikers actually we're not exactly flushed all over the field, hard graft often disguises our sheer inadequacies.

I haven't got the stats on hand but at a guess I'd say nearly half of Irelands goals under Trap came from some sort of set piece or a big long punt down the middle from our keeper?.

Did Stokes not make himself available to Trappatoni for personal reasons.

I see Uruguay are 50/1 (e.w. 1/2 1.2) with Sky to win W.C.. They will, almost certainly, have to play Jordan in a play-off to decide which team qualifies for finals. Assuming qualification, they are currently likely to be one of the top 8 seeds meaning they can avoid Brazil,Ger,Arg and Sp at the group stage of the finals. Worth an e.w. bet at those odds - I wouldn't be surprised to see them reach the semi-final next year.

interesting post Reb, Uraguary also have a border with brazil so they should have good crowd of Supporters if they make the finals,  its also interesting to note that Uruguary won the World cup when it was last held in brazil, [ can lighting strike twice]Excited

That's right about the support, Frank. Country only has a population of about 3 mil but they have a fantastic football tradition. They are current South American champions and reached semi-final of last W.C.. Wish I could get some of that 50ew.

I couldn't get over how bad Stokes was technically for a product of the Arsenal academy. That said, he got himself in the right place often enough so has good instincts. He also has decent pace and there is less between him and Shane Long than I thought.
