WR,Don't tell me you're getting into this she might not win tomorrow but will at some stage of the season,we have threads with lists of every runner in the UK already.
She is a right mare but sure god only knows what the plan is with those silks after a 6 month break,debut over fences and another leading contender(as a side note the dam is a good reminder of how capable Eddie Harty is) in the same colours.

Getting mixed up with Captain Cee Bee(only similarity were colours and supreme novices),hard to revert the mindset to National Hunt.

The shorter she is the more you'd have on (within reason) in this instance. They've no reason not to play a straight bat given the pattern available later on.

No data, but as mentioned most odds-onn shots that get beat probably still come second or third. it probably seems that more blow-out because the likes of me remember the ones that are tailed off more.

I think at this time of year it's very hard to be confident in either code.
With the national Hunt you have the classier animals(not knowing how ready they're) having their first run back against the fit summer horses.Add in normally a change in ground with uncertainty over the form of yards until you have a better sample and it makes for tricky puzzles.

Cheers DJ, Teelin Star is absolute box-office still, gonna sky-plus the meeting just to see what he'll do. 2 graded novice chases in ireland this week at Tipp and Roscommon and the Graded Hurdle at Tipperary on Saturday looks awfully weak as well. It just shows how festival dominated Irish racing is, fellas would rather come 8th in the Galway Hurdle under a welter burden.

Hoping there is a little bit of mileage left on the flat(though ground might be changing again) NH always wary of a half fit introduction with the classier ones so agree with you there DJ.

Valid point Neil D ,€52,500 in total prize money for that grade 2 hurdle,perhaps the supposed presence of Our Connor (returns in Irish Cesarewitch now)scared a few off but still there would have been decent place money.

Yeah dangerous time of year, especially some of the really babyish types that are going to be sent out in back-end maidens. I'm sure I'll be caught by a few from Stoute that have beautiful pedigrees and should handle a bit of cut without even starting into the ground changing. Richard Hughes reckons the ground has even changed at Wolverhampton with the new surface!!

Yeah that is what probably did it dj, I'd be interested enough to see him again on the flat anyway. He won the thing with Minsk when hurdling was the plan so he could be readyish. he is a strong travelling kind of hurdle horse, its a bit pot and there must be loads of juice in a mid 80's mark. They've a big fee to recoup!!

Crazy fee for a horse (open to correction)hasn't won over hurdles on ground better than soft-good to soft in places.He couldn't have been any more impressive in Triumph but what did he beat(Big fan of the horse don't get me wrong but still has questions to answer).
It looks like he will be taking on the fly in all the grade 1 races here,first clash in morgiana maybe.
A positive for Our Conor for Cheltenham is imo they always over water on the first day at the festival against speedsters like Jezki and MTOY.

Great to have at least 3 top-class 2 mile hurdlers in Ireland again. Races like the Morgiana have been processions for way too long. Poor aul Go Native would have added an awful lot to the scene last year. I'd love to see the big 3 line up together.

Our Conner isn't a betting proposition for me at this stage I'd imagine, not looked at the Irish Ces, but if the big Flat stables have strong candidates and he fares well, we'll have learned a bit more about him. It is possible that he could get away with never tackling quickish ground the way they water at Cheltenham now, plenty of races between now and then and no need to continue after, at least not this season anyway.

Off 84 Our Conor would look to have a great chance in it,supposed to be very well in himself as well according to latest trainer comments,comes down to price but with softish ground looks a fairly good bet and anyway fit think will take all the beating in a not too strong field,not original but maybe he is totally different class.

E H with regards to Dressedtothenines "she is good form,has schooled well and is ready for her first start of the season,the 2m1f trip might be on the sharp side but we want to start off low key".

Yeah Punch only seemed half fit, see your buddy Hidden Cyclone is having a crack off the Paddy Power,with a fair weight should have a good chance in it,though the hill would be a worry.
Lat Hawill in the 2.40 at Newcastle looked very useful,know it was a maiden think it could well be a group horse,wonder where he,ll go next.
