Good viewing normally , tricky betting because of format and use of 3 courses .

Padraig might just relax a bit in the format to trade a bit lower than 75 .

Go pod.

Backed a whole host of them!! Kaymer, Grace, Olesen, Pod of the shorter priced ones. Jacquelin, Magnus Carlsson, Howell, Gonzalez, Michael Campbell, Tom Lewis, Anthony Wall, Olly Wilson of the complete rags. I think that's all anywayLaugh
GL.

Lovely 7 there for Pod, slumming it in 145th place, pretty consistent in fairness to him. Plain
Report callitasucit September 26, 2013 2:58 PM BST
Ya still gotta love him though DanGrin. Nice starts from Olly Wilson and Tom Lewis, but hard to know where anyone really stands until Saturday.
Report Dan Chipowski September 26, 2013 3:29 PM BST
True enough, Callit, think only Deplasterer loves him more than me. Laugh

Hopefully Lewis and Wilson can keep it going tomorrow. Both playing Carnoustie though, so their positions at moment slightly distorted.
All in on Berkshire in the first at Newmarket....2014 Derby winnerWink

Pity about Pods horror round at Carnoustie. Would be right in it on his play on the other two tracks. Making a sterling effort to survive the cut. Hope JP didn't go doubles or quitsGrin

Good shot with Berkshire Callit, made hard work of it but got the job done, lovely looking horse not sure would Epsom suit though.
Report callitasucit September 28, 2013 3:04 PM BST
Yeah, he seemed to be climbing on the ground a bit in the dip. Hopefully it was just down to the ground being a shade fast, and still a bit of inexperience. Job done for today though.
Report Distant View September 28, 2013 3:37 PM BST
This is a brilliant round from Lowry to close right in on the leaders at Carnoustie.

I thought he would be doing well to be within 4-5 of the lead at the end of the day.
Report callitasucit September 28, 2013 3:44 PM BST
He prone to putting together a great round to get himself into contention, but rarely finishes the round or tournament off. But as you say, superb effort to this point. Some luck for Uihlein on the last.

Irish lads doing rightly , keeping interest alive .  Great viewing , everyone playing with a smile on their face , which is how it should be .
Report pa lapsy October 1, 2013 12:32 PM BST
See for this Seve Trophy the Great Britain and Ireland team doesn,t in fact contain an Irishman at all which is a bit of a pity considering the calibre of the team itself.
Report Distant View October 1, 2013 12:55 PM BST
They must not have made themselves available pa?

McDowell got married I believe and McIlroy probably would not be bothered given that it was a struggle for him to make it to the tee on time at the Ryder Cup!
Report Kelly October 1, 2013 12:58 PM BST
Just posted up a similar comment myself pa on the Seve heading . Just wonder what goes on behind the scenes in events like this , it involves Paul McGinley who selected 2 past winning Ryder Cup captains to lead the 2 teams --Ollie and Sam , both hugely respected .  But dont think the players want to know about the event judged on the turnout . Particularly uninteresting turnout for Sams team on paper , maybe Gb and I are tired of winning the event each year !
Report pa lapsy October 1, 2013 1:26 PM BST
Doubt they will be winning it this year Kelly, seems as the continentals are taking it a bit more seriously as they have a fairly strong team.Accept the competition hasn,t a fraction of the kudos of the Ryder still an all should have been a token Irishman maybe Pod, Hoey,Mc Grane or Lawrie would  make it given the likes of Khan and Jamieson have.

Report Arklearkle October 1, 2013 3:54 PM BST
It has been reported that McDowell and Lowry will represent Ireland in World Cup.
