While i know guys like Gant and Kavvie will be spitting over this, it's the right decision and nice touch at the end as well, hopefully they get the crowd they want.
Rocketfingers.......It will be a totally different atmosphere but it's all about sport and the decent sports people of Sligo will benefit. A friend of mine told me the hardcore that keep people away from matches see this as a victory.......could it be the only thing you win all year.

I actually feel sad for you that you think this is not welcomed. Lets hope Sligo town gets 2 decent crowds 2 Sundays in a row and everyone behaves like sports fans should.

Don,t see anything wrong with it, AUL and MSL were all cancelled for the hurling final on the 8th sept, people just being sensible that their code isn,t being detracted from on their big day and avoiding clashes, right and all.

Sport or whatever word you want to use so,good that young people are playing a sport whether gaelic football,soccer,hurling or anything else both physically and mentally for themselves in the bigger picture which ever one it is is a bit academic,probably down to the individuals preference and enjoyment.

Awful shame the GAA didn't change the KO time for Dublin Mayo game yesterday as it was Clashing with the Manchester Derby, Bit silly really as football,particularly when united are involved draws a bigger audience.

Sligo are minnows in GAA terms but at least the supporters next week will not be segregated or escorted by police into the ground. Sad in this day an age.
