He said the same about two years back when some British trainers were suggesting that he give them a horse or two. His string has increased in recent years and normally the more horses the more bad/mediocre ones but he has been successful helped big-time by Blackstairmountains exploits in Japan. Hopefully he stays in the game. Good owners whether in UK or Ireland are needed to keep the NH ship afloat.
but why put all his eggs in one basket why not spread his wealth around, its for pleasure not business after all?.
Maybe he could send a few to Micheal Winters,now that could be a formidable partnership.

if i had his money and passion for nh(i have the passion not the money!)id stick with the best.and wp mullins simply is that.simple really.prize money for quality horses in ireland is way better than england.while micheal winters is a great trainer there is no doubt id say rich would struggle to understand him!!
This could be your opportunity silver...a persuasive essay forwarded to Mr. Ricci on "It's all about the horse" or even "Trainers and jockeys don't matter" could change his mind...after all they are two of your favourite topics!!

well im sure if rich gave him a few mill to but french 3 yr olds for hurdling he would take elecution lessons in return!!
