Quoted from a recent interview;
"I love it here in Ireland,I wouldn,t race anywhere else,I,m very honoured to have great support from Willie and all the people in Ireland for our horses and i,ll continue to participate here for as long as i can. It,s wonderful.Great racing,great people,great prize money and great craic".
A ringing endorsement from Mr.Ricci in regards Irish NH racing,lovely to see and fair play to him.Know it might be easy to be at one with the world considering his wealth,still think his love of NH shine through and one couldn,t begrudge him continued success.

He said the same about two years back when some British trainers were suggesting that he give them a horse or two. His string has increased in recent years and normally the more horses the more bad/mediocre ones but he has been successful helped big-time by Blackstairmountains exploits in Japan. Hopefully he stays in the game. Good owners whether in UK or Ireland are needed to keep the NH ship afloat.

Maybe he could send a few to Micheal Winters,now that could be a formidable partnership.
Getting very good results with Willie to be fair.

if i had his money and passion for nh(i have the passion not the money!)id stick with the best.and wp mullins simply is that.simple really.prize money for quality horses in ireland is way better than england.while micheal winters is a great trainer there is no doubt id say rich would struggle to understand him!!

This could be your opportunity silver...a persuasive essay forwarded to Mr. Ricci on "It's all about the horse" or even "Trainers and jockeys don't matter" could change his mind...after all they are two of your favourite topics!!

^ Could also ask him where he gets those high class shades maybe?
Kavvie, people come from all over the world to learn English in Cork,all Micheal would have to do is slow it down a bit.
