High scoring but a lot of defensive mistakes Kavvie, for me difficult to enjoy flawed performances like that.

By:
You didn't think that was an enjoyable game to watch today Rocket even with a slight mitigation for defensive frailties??
By:
No i never said that, it was exciting without doubt, quality wise mehhhhh
By:
Fair enough you're entitled to your opinion and I haven't read this thread but your opening post says that the one word missing from the championship was skill, hard not to acknowledge that there wasn't some exhilarating attacking skill on display today.

DUBS EVENS TO WIN THE S.F.C WITH P.POWER, I WILL HAVE SOME OF THAT.

By:
good grief.........the clueless king ozrockrat still lets itself down with its blatant ignornace.......its actually staggering at this stage......
By:
A great game of football, the Dubs have a lovely style and easy to see them being the dominant force for the next few years.
By:
Hurling once again putting the hand passers to shame, which saw guy getting excited over one match. Compare that to the Hurling championship which to me is like any other sporting championship and is littered with memorable matches.

As a soccer man ratfingers how do you think the National soccer team matches in the W C qualifiers were in relation to this years gaa football matches as a whole?
By:
Rocketfingers wouldn't care about the national team.........sure only the ole ole brigade and barstoolers follow them.
By:
Ireland v Asutria was a great game 2-2, action packed, Ireland v Sweden was not bad, it was tactical, like a chess match between Kasparov vs Topalov
By:
Ireland vs Sweden was ****,Ireland with basically 1 shot on goal and Sweden with 2 or 3, do you think Roy Keane should get the Irish managers job?
By:
I walked out of croke park 3 years ago at half time in a football match.(defence...pulling...draging...hand pass me to death)
I stopped going to PREM football too at around the same time(hardly even watch it) Non League is where its at for soccer. However i travel the country watching all sorts of good hurling matches. Dublin Kerry game might halt the slide....but it has been appaling for a long time.. |
By:
Yeah I agree it was like a chess match..........waiting ages for a decent move.
By:
The last time i was in Croker was at a GAA match not going to mention which one for fear of annoying those county men. But i fell asleep (No drink taken) and was woken up by one of the cleaners and the funny thing was i was not the only other one asleep.
By:
Them days are gone since the new security fencing went in. The cleaners used to let a few old souls kip around the edges and in some cases got them a hot meal.

This sounds big headed but i think i nailed this. The final was very disappointing and the pulling and dragging started quite early this afternoon.
By:
i thought ye were going UP to meet rock and the da and bro so yis could exchange nudges and winks in the lower cusack areas.......
By:
Yep a poor enough final, still two brilliant semi finals, any more classic premiership games to add to the one you pointed out earlier in the thread?
By:
I will always stand by what i said not one good game in this this year. Compare it to the hurling lads.
By:

rocket try to get outa the flat more often,as i said to oz it helps with your social phobia, and try to go down the satirs rathe rthan up the stairs when you eventually do get the confidence to leave........not like your alleged trip to the holy grounds today.....

Rocketfingers in regards to your 22 sept 22.24 post "the pulling and dragging started quite early this afternoon" if you seen the Elche vs Real Madrid match tonight, the pulling, dragging, diving cynical fouling was only trotting after gaelic football, match ended with the ref getting duped into giving a non existent pentalty,it was anything but the beautiful game there tonight. Seen a bit of Liverpool and Man U and to be fair while not a great match it was watchable.
