Macbeth 5.25 Ballinrobe

This horse seems to be a shadow of his former self this season, and a flat rating of 96 is proving well beyond him this season. His trainer has yet to saddle a winner over hurdles this season and as a rule of thumb I never back any horse first time over hurdles. Maybe it will be a case of the hurdles will rejuvenate him but or maybe this is just a last throw of the dice with him seeing as he is handicapped to the hilt on the flat and has shown no great aptitude or enthusiasm for the game this season thus far. So at 2.04 and 1.22 in the place market he is a lay for me

The ride on him last time was interesting to say the least i thought! Had a few bob on at v big prices and thought he should have been a hell of a lot closer

Different horses I know and I would have time for the trainer but I wasn't at all impressed by how his Auden jumped last night.

The winner took off with the jock for the first mile, clobbered every hurdle all the way round and still won. Macbeth got a lovely tow into the race off a strong pace, and the fact he couldn't pick up the Flynn horse after jumping the last says it all about this lad really as he will struggle to find a weaker maiden hurdle than the one which he contested tonight
