Not many punting opportunities, any views ??

17.25-4 YO Hurdle-Favourites had a remarkable success rate last year surprisingly(probably a fair proportion of them trained by WPM tho).I very rarely back anything in these races and wouldn't be anyway tempted by the favourite at evens. He's probably a lay at that price having his first run over hurdles but the opposition aren't great.(Dessie Hughes normally does reasonably well in these races early in the season)
Hurdle debutant in a 4 yo hurdle at evens is nearly an automatic lay for me bar WPM.

17.55-Interesting that Ruby doesn't ride Luke McMahon's horse-market should be informative.

Top Cat Henry looks the proverbial dirty each way, long way back to the 3rd in that Wexford maiden and while i wouldn't have a lot of meas for Silver Tassie, he did follow up easily for his maiden next time.
Disappointing run from Darroun on flat return from break, while his maiden hurdle win and the run behind Hisabaat reads well, some indifferent runs in there as well, hard to know what you are going to get tonight with him.

I'd agree with you about Darroun Pa,he's as likely to blow out as he is to win on the bridle. He hasn't won a race in 18 months now but some of his form is far above this race.
If it stays an 8 runner race,an each way play would definitely be tempting.

I read WPM'S report everyday even tho I know it has to be taken with a large pinch of salt, sometimes it does help tho just to confirm a ground preference etc.

We have two in the 2 mile maiden hurdle. Mr Groocock (Ruby) was running a great race before being brought down four out at Wexford last month. However that was over 3 miles and he might find it tough dropping back to 2 miles here.

Well Read Man (David Casey) will go on the ground but he is having his first run over hurdles. His lack of experience on this tight circuit might be hard to overcome.

Darroun (Ruby) goes for the 2m 4f conditions hurdle. He was a little disappointing on the flat last time but we are expecting a much better performance here. This trip will be ideal and he should like the ground. Hopefully he won’t find this track a bit tight.

6.55 - I think, although the top rated in the race, Willies horse might struggle if the ground stays fast, not sure about 2m 4f either, layed a bit of Darroun at 2.0. Money in the same race for Top Cat Henry, so had a small play on him also.

Darroun wants the ground fast deplasterer. That is prob the only plus he has on his side, as he looks a tricky customer to me, and his finishing effort often leaves a lot to be desired, and coming off the back of a poor run on the level I would certainly be in no rush to get involved at odds on

HAVE TO AGREE with you scp re ground for Darroun ...After its first run at punchestown i got talking to one of the stables reps right after the race , He was delighted with the run and said the horse needed better ground , I know this ground is faster than anything hes ever ran on before but like you i think it'll suit him ...Having said that , He's been a shade disappointing ....

He's been laid at this stage lads, so have to hope the distance is his undoing, should stick to what I know about in futureLaugh

That Mahon yard are a nightmare for punters. Normally I would draw a line through anything to do with the bloke but the Conditional that rides for him is excellent and is always capable of doing you
