Just talking at the breakfast table earlier you had Monaghan yesterday, London reaching the Connacht final, Dublin hurlers winning Leinster, Andy Murray doing the biz in Wimbledon, Chris Froome and Dan Martin in the cycling and one that won't get that many mentions is Linfield winning away in Greece v Xanthi in the Europa league.

Yes, indeed.  Not to mention The Lions, The Ashes and the great weather.

Imminent arrival of the Royal baby is just the icing on the cake.  Best of luck to Kate and Wills x

A thread of celebration dragged to to the gutter with unnecessary sectarian abuse.  What a small minded Nation we are.

I forgot about the Lions i believe if it's a bot the royal are looking at an Irish name something like Shaun which will kill wildman and his naked sectarian beliefs.

Richters, you can still get on a girl at 4/7.

A few quid in your back pocket should help you get through the inevitable global outpouring of joy imminent.

Oh JOY OF JOY, A BOY!

Very well kept secret, impressive in this day and age.

Land of Hope and Glory

Land of Hope and Glory, Mother of the Free,
How shall we extol thee, who are born of thee?
Wider still, and wider, shall thy bounds be set;
God, who made thee mighty, make thee mightier yet!

Truth and Right and Freedom, each a holy gem,
Stars of solemn brightness, weave thy diadem.

Tho' thy way be darkened, still in splendour drest,
As the star that trembles o'er the liquid West.

Throned amid the billows, throned inviolate,
Thou hast reigned victorious, thou has smiled at fate.

Land of Hope and Glory, fortress of the Free,
How may we extol thee, praise thee, honour thee?

Hark, a mighty nation maketh glad reply;
Lo, our lips are thankful, lo, our hearts are high!

Hearts in hope uplifted, loyal lips that sing;
Strong in faith and freedom, we have crowned our King!

Lose?  One doesn't lose on the day a future King is born.

Truly historic.

A West Brit, Pa.

Various clues along the way pointed to a girl (don't you read the Daily Mail?).  Even before that I had a hunch for a Girl, given the new law that the first born would take the Crown, irrespective of gender.
Report pa lapsy July 22, 2013 9:20 PM BST
Don't read the mail at all,(Mrs lapsy wants it on Sunday for the magazine though). Always thought it was an anti Irish paper.
Go on away and cop on to yourself and learn the words of "The Boys of Wexford" or something rather than the Land of Hope and Glory,has feckall to do with ya or your heritage.

Wouldn't have had you down as a Mail reader Ozy, you might have more in common with the wildman than you think.

For the uninitiated, a typical Daily Mail reader is one who espouses the paper's right-wing, middle-England (Ireland), anti-immigrant, racist, misogynist, homophobic, anti-intellectual, sanctimonious mind-set.

Yes, spot on Neil, Borneo does indeed tick all the boxes.

I find the Mail website excellent in terms of pictures, regular updates and general ease of use.  Plus of course, I love a bit of celebrity, me.

Oh, and you are right Neill, I am not really that much of a Liberal, more of an evolved Conservative in truth.

Remind me again OZY , Who was that liberal leader years ago , He was a gay lad , who was sent a bomb in the post , and when he opened it , it went poof.....Laugh

I'd find it an entertaining read too, some of the broadsheets can be very Poe-faced and detached. Whether it is right or wrong, it kind of gives you the sense that it is what most people are thinking!! Presume that is what they are going for though so i'm probably a mark.
