Even in the genteel world of golf you would think there parents were sailors,nothing but commentators apologising for them often a few times a session. Suppose the will to win can overtake a persons normal conduct.

I heard a recent interview with Conor Niland who said Murray couldn't do enough for him and was the most genuine player on the circuit.
I can see how one would dislike him but I'd imagine those traits particularly shine through from his competitiveness on the court.
He's temper has improved since Ivan Lendal has been coaching him.

yeh, shure I'd say we would disown him completely like over da bad language like.  Because we are feirce fussy over here abut bad languange as a rule.

Would the Irish support Andy Murray ?, would they hell is like. The Irish support  the national soccer team full of English players,support teams like the Lions who have virtually nothing to do with them, drug enhanced cyclists and swimmers,im sure they would be fairly happy to support a world class tennis player.

I think you might have a different opinion of Murray if you listen to this interview with Conor Niland. Murray is only a young lad but he sounds like a top man to me. From about 1.20 Niland speaks about Murray, it might change your opinion.

If he hadn't made it as a pro tennis player he could've been C E O of an Irish bank. Judging by the C Niland comments he's too nice for that though.

Great player just a miserable looking sod most of the time, but that's his DNA, nowt he can do about it.
