Backed 10 horses today , shortest price evens , biggest price 16/1 . 5 of them started favourite , 2 short priced second cos , none won , best finish was third ( in a 7 horse race ).
Not normal , usually I get a decent run for my money , but this was disastrous . Does not fill me with hope for tomorrow , think Dawn Approach will hack up ...but ...

How did you find ten horses to back today? Looked desperately hard and only bet I had was Intrigo which wasn't quite good enough.
Dawn Approach performance tomorrow has nothing to do with how you did today (as I know you know), unless the "but" refers to a great level of uncertainty about the stamina from the distaff side of pedigree that the nonsense about today's Oaks result should have no bearing on (given that it had 12f and Oaks blood embedded in it)?

Backed Moth at 7/2 , Distant View , Star for Life at evens , Lady Clitico each way ( 8 horse race ), Cookie Crumbles , and a few others for interest mainly seeing as how it was the Derby meeting etc.
Then watched liquorice allsorts of results most of the day .
Obviously no effect on Derby result my bets today , just nibbles away at your self confidence when basically the horses you back never look like winning , which was the case today . Only one of the horses I backed was odds on in running , no idea how it was ( Hasopop , 1.55 in running ???--not in the race I was watching ! ) .
My handle on Dawn Approach is that nothing flusters him , and I cant see anything to beat him , Battle looked slow for a Ballydoyle horse at Leopardstown , and he looks main danger .

backed gregorian today had been placed in group 1's beaten 1 length and 1/2 length over 8f gs, first race of season
LTO beaten a head in listed class over 7f gs, closed to press leader towards finish, back up in trip today and race
fit from previous run, was going to take all the beating and so proved to be the case, formbook never lets you down.

He won well roadrunner . Did look at him , but missed out .
I backed intrigo myself distant, the one that got away as clearly best horse in the race at the weights. I managed to back talent for profit on the race as my main bet was secret gesture. Today looked quite tough apart. I left bookies at 6'ish thinking the same and I imagine those who remained got fairly skint judging by results
