Report rossoneri92 December 31, 2012 9:47 PM GMT

ANDY OLIVER had a big year is this quiz on website or in the paper
Report rossoneri92 January 1, 2013 4:12 PM GMT
No don't think either of the two guys is him. It has me stumped!
Report woodworm January 1, 2013 9:17 PM GMT
got the 2 trainers but cannot find the 8yo horse previously ridden by McCoy, BJG, Ruby, Carberry and DRussel? Cannot do the cryptic one either 'fill in the gaps to reveal big easter success?
Report Tolmi January 1, 2013 9:22 PM GMT
I ll swap the trainer on the left for the cryptic clue.I have not got the 8 y o either.
Report woodworm January 1, 2013 9:40 PM GMT
first name Harry
Report dj876 January 1, 2013 9:44 PM GMT
woodworm, what's the full question about the 8yo??
Report woodworm January 1, 2013 9:47 PM GMT
which 8yo, a  winner in the last 12mnths has in his career benn ridden by Ruby Walsh,Barry Geraghty, Tony McCoy, Paul Carberry and Davy Russell? he has finished at least in the first 2 for all of them.
Report woodworm January 1, 2013 9:48 PM GMT
My dad just given me the cryptic answer Tomli!
Report Tolmi January 1, 2013 9:48 PM GMT
I'm afraid that still doesn't sort it out for me.Is he flat or NH.The answer you require is this years Irish National wineer.Fill the gaps as Gaeilge.
Report woodworm January 1, 2013 9:50 PM GMT
tell me the brother and sister trainers and ill give you his full name.
Report woodworm January 1, 2013 9:51 PM GMT
Ive spent hours on this quiz, very frustrating cannot get the last few answers.
Report Tolmi January 1, 2013 9:52 PM GMT
Is this a two for one nowGrinThe brother and sister I think train in Wexford.
Report woodworm January 1, 2013 9:54 PM GMT
sorry my dad beat you to the cryptic answer by seconds, just rang me, the trainer is Harry Kelly, put the name into the racing post photos site and the exact same picture will be the first to come up.
Report Allduckornodinner January 1, 2013 9:56 PM GMT
The 8yo (now 9yo!) is surely Cass Bligh?
Report dj876 January 1, 2013 9:59 PM GMT
Wd allduck,Russell couldn't get it on twitter!
Report woodworm January 1, 2013 10:00 PM GMT
excellent, been doing my brains on that one
Report Tolmi January 1, 2013 10:01 PM GMT
Thanks Woodworm.I think the brother and sister had a runner in Thurles during the year.
Report woodworm January 1, 2013 10:04 PM GMT
I shall check Tomli thanks, that narrows it down a bit, I think I have pretty much every other answer although does anyone think the question about the horse to win his 100th race is wrong or do I have the wrong answer?
Report Tolmi January 1, 2013 10:07 PM GMT
I think its wrong as well.Incorrectly phrased. The Thurles meeting is this season.
Report woodworm January 1, 2013 10:10 PM GMT
my answer ran for the 100th time in may but was not having his first run over hurdles since 2004
Report Tolmi January 1, 2013 10:16 PM GMT
You have the same answer as me so.
Report woodworm January 1, 2013 10:16 PM GMT
think I have the trainer siblings now, thanks very much
Report woodworm January 1, 2013 10:18 PM GMT
I have one more question, is the up and coming jockey on left initials GC?
Report Allduckornodinner January 1, 2013 10:19 PM GMT
Is Rockazar the one ye are thinking of re. the 100th run?

Dj send the moonman a tweet on my behalf Grin One of the first horses that came to mind!
Report woodworm January 1, 2013 10:22 PM GMT
not Rockazar
Report Allduckornodinner January 1, 2013 10:28 PM GMT
Sorry Rockazars 100th run wasn't in May. Yeah it's obviously the other horse so but the question is wrong. It should have read what horse had it's 100th run under rules over hurdles. The 2004 reference is to his first win over hurdles I imagine.
Report dj876 January 1, 2013 10:31 PM GMT
Not on twitter myself allduck, but if you just google Davy Russell on twitter.
The tweet is on the 25th Dec,Davy said it was wrecking his head and asked Ruby who didn't know either.

I saw an interview recently somewhere with Ruby asking him who was the horse he rode before Kauto star in the King George and he didn't know..
Report Allduckornodinner January 1, 2013 11:18 PM GMT
Yeah saw that there dj. I'm sure someone has informed him since!

Sorry but is that a horse Ruby rode or Davy rode?
Report dj876 January 1, 2013 11:23 PM GMT
sorry it was badly phrased.

No the interviewer asked Ruby what did he ride in the King George before Kauto and Ruby had no idea,it wasn't a question from me, just thought it was kind of surprising, that he couldn't remember, only 6 years ago.
Report Allduckornodinner January 1, 2013 11:58 PM GMT
I'd say it must be either Royal Auclair or Azertyiuop. The latter definitely ran in a KG and I think the former also did in the mid 2000's.

I suppose when he's ridden probably a thousand races since you'd forget those things given they weren't winners. I remember Clive Smith being asked in the guess test of the ML where did Kauto run in his first race in Britain (Newbury beating Foreman). He didn't get it even though the clip had been played earlier in the show!
Report dj876 January 2, 2013 12:03 AM GMT
Royal Auclair is correct........Ah I don't expect them to remember every race, just with it being on Stephens/Boxing day and the prestige of the race, should make it a lot easier.
Report Allduckornodinner January 2, 2013 12:07 AM GMT
Yeah I suppose you would still expect them to be at least to offer an educated guess. Ruby strikes me as a fella that doesn't get too attached (even Kauto has been consigned to history i'd imagine). The next race is always the most important one kind of mindset.
Report ChildOfMine2 January 3, 2013 9:20 PM GMT
Anybody know the two young trainers (pics)? I have Harry Kelly but haven't got the other one....
Report Tolmi January 4, 2013 7:04 PM GMT
Wordworm

The jockey on the left is not GC
Report ChildOfMine2 January 4, 2013 11:31 PM GMT
