had a look , the first winner was very impressive , dont think there was a lot davy could do about that ..btw i thought by dropping him off them a little coming down the hill and getting back in contension davy learnt a lot about this fellow , he gave it a few smacks trying to pull the leader back in the straight but to no avail ...the second one just wasn't good enough but will have its day ..davy minded it ..thats my take on it anyway....

to be fair if you can get the bet on with a cashier who verbally says "yes okay, rovers win" you have a shot at getting something if you can be mild mannered about it and polite, a manager will use discretion and say stuff like one time only etc, its worth the try anyway! its a long time to wait for the new summer recruits to play a few slow count scams!

fair enough but in my time plenty have tried that and a small few have succeeded with such "bets" although for small stakes. on the other hand one sat not so long ago i saw somebody had a bet just wrote "united win" and then bet was settled split stake for every team with united in it up to 3pm kick off. Personally i blame the cashier for accepting the bet but sh1t happens

irish bookies are still decent places (mostly, outside the cities). at proper times there is good banter and athmosphere and for proper doubles and trbles etc its what you have to do, plus antepost betting on here is gone to sh1t, this year is the 1st time i have had to do most of my bets with bookmakers rather than here with makes laying off a pain. plus local gaa is actually being provided for thesse days and can be great bets if you have any knowledge
