London Metropole and Marriott Marble Arch both well located and pretty reasonable as rates go in London. I've stayed at both a couple of times on business and they're ideal.

Regents Palace closed about 5 years ago. There are several Travelodges in central London, Covent Garden,Farringdon,Kings Cross,Waterloo etc. Should be about £100 per night. The Covent Garden one is very near Soho for nightlife
