Report thefly10 October 17, 2012 10:18 PM BST
I do follow them a bit wr some good players and well capable of gaining promotion if they tighten up the defence. Scoring goals aswell as conceding though.

Watched videos of Aidan White against Everton he is a classy left back.

Will be swerving the EPL match odds this weekend, coming off a international break. With Champs League to follow next mid-week, wouldn't be suprised to see a few of Europe's big guns falter this weekend.

But if I can get a decent price I will back zero cards in the Norwich v Arsenal game. Cards is something I have been looking into a bit more since last season, and these are a couple of the teams I have keep an eye on.

Norwich didn't get a card when getting trounced 5-0 @Fulham and 4-1 @Chelsea. So they can take a beating without getting dirty. In their 7 EPL games this season, their card count is 0,0,0,0,1,1,0. Two of those 7 have had no cards, with 3 others having only 1 card.

Arsenal are generally a clean team, and their EPL record this season is 0,0,2,0,0,2,2. Again 2 of their 7 games have had zero cards. The cards came in away trips at Liverpool and West Ham, and home to Chelsea - each more of a "battle" than I would expect at Carrow Road.

Ref is Lee Probert, who has had a blank in his 5 EPL games this season, twice in last 9, with 2 others having only one card.

Bet365 are the only ones up yet, but are going 17/2, which is much too short. Hoping someone takes their eye off the ball and can get 14/1 or bigger. No cert by any means, but may be worth a tenner.
Report workrider October 18, 2012 10:30 PM BST
very interesting kiddo , i never even knew you could bet on that ....
Report thefly10 October 19, 2012 11:10 PM BST
Poor enough game tonight at Hillsborough over shadowed by some absolute thuggery. Hope the scumbag that attacked Chris Kirkland is identified and locked up, disgraceful.

Leeds didnt play anything, Becchio was never in it, no big strikers to come on and lean into the Sheffield Wed centre halfs who dominated through out.

That's a brave one Jay, i would not bet Everton either though. I think Wigan are ok away at Swansea circa 3.82. Going for the under in the early game Spurs v Chelsea and the overs in the West Ham v Saints and Norwich v Arsenal

You can't have a go at someone for not putting money on your guesses. Why did you bet them even? You never even give a reason, you bet them because of their names or as you said once because blue is your fav colour when Rangers won their first game at home in div 3 or because you could not see past Portugal midweek. c'mon wise up richters this is a forum for sharp minds not your kind of mind.

Powers went 12/1 on no cards in the Norwich game, had a score on it. Didn't see the game but no joy, Norwich had 4 cards.
Report Rocketfingers October 22, 2012 10:12 PM BST
A most unlike Arsenal performance, i have to wonder how much the international break impacts on players, not so much in terms of a physical capacity more a mental and do players find it difficult to ger re-focused for the weekend matches.
Report thefly10 October 23, 2012 12:42 AM BST
Why does every topic turn into this? Bit sad lads!

Took a look at the champions league games ahead of us this week. One match that does interest me is in Turkey Tuesday evening; Galatasaray host Romanian champions Cluj.

Both sides are going through a poor run of form at the moment, both have three defeats and two draws from their last five games in all competitions. Galatasaray were surprisingly beat 2-0 at home to Braga in the last round of CL fixtures while Cluj took all three points against the Portugese side in the opening round 0-2, AWAY.

Their first time in the CL, first time against Turkish opposition. It's a difficult place to go to and play your own football but with Galatasaray having 13 of their squad away on international duty during the week and without a win in four games I'm going to go for Cluj to win at 9/2, but the best bet probably is Cluj and draw 11/10. Great value.

The Romanians were lucky to get a draw, always difficult with a man down but Galatasaray deserved something from the game.

EUROPA LEAGUE

Genk from Belguim are great value at home to Sporting Lisbon. They beat Hungarian side Videoton FC 3-0 at home in their opening fixture before the latter came out and beat Lisbon 3-0 at home in the last round. Lisbon have had a dreadful start in the Portugese Liga, winning one game in six aswell as sacking their manager.
Report Rocketfingers October 25, 2012 1:47 PM BST
I had some of this myself, i came very close to betting Videoton the last day but decided i just did not know enough about Hungarians to pull the trigger. But they won very easily and SCL seem to be in bits and lost again at the weekend. I bet Udinese also away to young boys and tempted to back Pana at home to Lazio +0.5 for a small stake. But Genk look bet of the night, GL thefly.
