Report The Bhoys October 12, 2012 9:33 PM BST

Report GANT007 October 12, 2012 9:37 PM BST
Give Keano a go and get rid of Delaney.
Report The Bhoys October 12, 2012 9:39 PM BST
i think keano deserves a chance. he made mistakes as a player as did mcarthy as mangaer. give him a go to prove himself

Keane would be lucky to ever get a football mangaing job ever again at any level, he is a non starter.

Mark Hughes Laugh

I'd give Arrigo Sacchi a go...
Report freddiek October 12, 2012 10:22 PM BST
mick mccarthy wouldya stop, Roy Keane dragged that team to the world cup and some people were conned into thinkin mick was a decent manager. he was booed out of the job in the end
Report BigRob1 October 12, 2012 10:48 PM BST

KL........Who would stump up the money to pay him.
Report kincsem October 12, 2012 11:14 PM BST
We were beaten by Germany, who are ranked number two in the FIFA rankings.  And because of that people want to replace the manager with the most divisive person in recent memory in Irish international football.  How will that help?
Report GANT007 October 12, 2012 11:18 PM BST
Kincsem......Mick McCarthy is not that bad.

gant, money is not an issue, it will be found somewhere.

the big play here is mr delaney. i felt sorry for big joe when he was fai treasurer and that time the ticket agent disappeared with all the money, well got was joe, you still see him at the races most days. when he departed office, junior clearly arrived with a marked card.if within a pro/semi and amateur mix of an organisation, you know who to look after then that is the key component of job security. no one from within can touch him.

delaney has an obscene salary( 4 times his counterpart in bayern munich), and to keep the media heat off himself, he will be happy to beg or borrow money to get rid of trap and appoint a new manager. if he got another big name like rafa or harry, he will be lauded as cunning, and questions on finances will be put aside as the media and public are lulled into a false sense of optimism.

the longer delaney stays in situ with his handsome salary, the linked pension builds and a bit like blatter at fifa, self perservation comes first, everything second.
Report Rocketfingers October 13, 2012 12:21 AM BST
Imo the there is no money to be found who would lend that devious clown Delaney the money? I heard some stories from v well placed sources about the FAI finances, put it this way i we win the LOI tomorrow we'll do very well to get anything close to what we're due off the FAI. I know this because of the last 2 seasons.
Report irish_guy_13 October 13, 2012 12:37 AM BST
owen coyle the only man. mick mc first choice but he wont touch it.
Report The Gotchee October 13, 2012 12:57 AM BST
Roy Keane is a treacherous bollix who has a proven track record as being a sh1t manager. Some people have very short memories.
Report redsman October 13, 2012 9:27 AM BST
Owen Coyle would get the pride back in irish soccer.
He would be like a young jackie Charlton.
Report newco-Joe67 October 13, 2012 10:16 AM BST

Report kavvie October 13, 2012 11:55 AM BST

Report redsman October 13, 2012 12:09 PM BST
It was foolish taking Denis o'briens money like that.
The last act if celtic tiger madness.
Report workrider October 13, 2012 12:13 PM BST
we'll just have to accept that no new name will appear anytime soon ..why oh why did they give him that new contract ..it was obvious to a blind man were we were heading....empty lansdowne road for our next couple of matches ..the question every football fan will be asking themselves is ,do i want to go and watch this rubbish ..answer no...if he would at least TRY and play a little football , rather than... its the RESULT that matters ...his interview after the game gave us an insight into his thinking ...listen to this ....some of my players were not available ...we ALL KNOW WHO THOSE PLAYERS WERE ....SAME OLD , SAME OLD , TRAPPATONI....nothing changes , if nothing changes...
Report GANT007 October 13, 2012 12:29 PM BST
The fall in revenue will cripple the fai even further........The aviva will be kept alive by Rugby and Music acts.
