Drogheda Utd v St Patrick's Athletic. St Pats look a bet PP make them a 7/5 chance. The game on Friday St Pats had 21 shots to Drogheda's 3 in the first game and were very unlucky. If Drogs come out this may suit Pats even better, either way in a league were home advantage teds to be minimal 7/5 or close enough to it is way too big imo.

PP into 11/10 now, only Laddies holding up the price of 13/10 which will go. The difference between me and the likes of Bobby, richters, Wildmanfromborneo and Gant is they never start betting threads, just abusive juvenile ones.

Just backed Drogs at 6/1 at ht with 365.
Their prices almost suggest drogs are down to 10 but apparently been an even 1st half with drogs having a goal ruled out & hit the woodwork.
Whaever the result Pats odds on when scoreless at ht is very strange imo.

backed them wit 365 just b4 HT also, their prices seem well weighted in favour of pats 4 some reason. hopefully drogs grab 1 now in last half nr.

10/11 on shams 4 league cup final not gonna last long. Not exactly ideal 4 drogs having these 2 Pats games so close and now ET in this 1 also.

Won't be too bad if they win tonight though

Pity drogheda couldnt hold on for the few mins that betting at half-time was definitely wrong.
Would have rathered them in the semi's also as we would have had a good chance of beating them but wouldnt fancy us against Pats unless their famous cup hoodoo kicks in.

YOu know Punkha you lads can improve but you're leaving it very late in the day to do so.
Report punkha1 September 17, 2012 11:25 PM BST
We're a poor team RF tbh but would be great to get to another cup final if we somehow could sneak past Pats but its unlikely.
As for the league we must beat Shels fri with UCD & Bray both having very hard games & likely to drop points.Anything else and the play-offs look a must.
Would imagine Waterford or Longford would be tough and probably nearly 50/50 games.Relegation would be a killer for the club.

I reckon we'll have one division to be fair next season. There can't be a lot between the top of the first and the botom of the prem. Coming out from the match the other v you lads a few of us were saying little between Dundalk and Bohs and turned out that way. I thought you were unlucky to get beaten by 3 against us but you seem to give away daft goals.
Report punkha1 September 17, 2012 11:43 PM BST
I'd take your hand off for the one division! You think its a runner?
We have a couple of decent players but McCaffrey signed too many young & inexperienced players who were never gonna be able to fill the boots of the likes of Quigley,Byrne,Gaynor etc.
Staying up & a cup final would be a great season at this stage.

I do ya, i think it will go back to 2 divisions then after a few years. The thing is there are only a few strong clubs, ok Dundalk are going through a bad patch but they'll recover but the like of Harps, Waterford, Athlone, Longford i'm not even sure these are strong enough. I have my doubts if these sides want to be even be in the LOI, you'd do well to get 10 or 12 decent clubs imo.
