Berry and Norton in the wars

Both jockeys missed winners today.

Berry gone to hospital for a shoulder injury after going to ground on Caliente (Lynam) in the second race at Clonmel. Smullen deputised for him on Positive Vibes which leaves him just the sole winner behind young Joseph OBrien.
Jockey bookings over the weekend should be interesting what with Murtagh restricted with Oxx and Berry out for a time. Shane Foley could be the man to benefit most. He already has a ride for Oxx/Aga in the Matron Stakes.

Across the water Franny Norton was stood down for failing a breath test (Not the first time) at Salisbury. Neil Callan came in for the winning ride on Rainbow Beauty for Irishman Ger Butler. Norton had been going a bomb of late picking up a rake of rides and winners for Mark Johnston among others. This hopefully was a small setback.
