I'm not being awkward Slick but as a rule of thumb i never tell anyone exactly what i win or lose and you should not have asked either, below is the bet i've made a few changes to the reference numbers but if you check your own you can see it has the right amount of digits etc.

Date    Reference    Stake    Transaction Details    Opening Price    Closing Price    Win/ Loss    Balance
11-Aug 13:33    462****49     Buy ?    Swansea City Points TR20****981    33    47     ?    0.00

Don’t use them myself but I remember when the spreads firms start betting they use to bet on the first throw in a premiership game about 84-90sec. There was a story doing the rounds about a certain premiership game in London were on the tip-off one player tipped to the other who promptly kicked the ball into the stands therefore giving those involved an 80/1 winner. No prize for guessing whom the manager was. Not sure if they stopped betting on the throw in then but would imagine with all the regulatory rules in now would be hard to get away with

I don't think it was the manager you think it was trooper. I'm fairly sure the player involved is now a weekly guest on Soccer Saturday. If I remember correctly he actually messed up the first time he went to kick it out of play and had to demand the ball back from a teammate so he could do it right the second time around.

It was indeed Le Tissier (the story is in his autobiography)

Anyone who has an account can see that Rocketfingers has the correct format as taken from Statements on their site and he also has the right level at which Swansea points could be bought last season. Spread betting is a fantastic medium, particularly for cricket and rugby. I dislike Sporting as a firm as they charge obscene margin.

i had an account with sporting index for about a year. could be good if youd a strong position on match bets between two horses ie a suspect jumper may not complete you could win the make up of 15 lengths..I had a major problem with them regarding a GAA bet last year.. Kildare played derry in the qualifiers and sporting had the handicap at -1 12.0-13.5 make up of 25;10;0..which was in effect 10-11 with the bonus of not losing as much if the handicap draw came up..i thought this was massive value so for each of the five days leading up to the match i placed a number of serious buys at 13.5..in the meantime the line which had opened at -3 with other bookies had moved to -5 but still sporting kept the -1..it was the biggest bet id ever put on..about 5 minnutes before throw in went in to check if any line movements had occured when i discovered my bet had been void..despite the market having been open for 5 days they only changed the handicap an hour before the game started to -5..i complained got nowhere with them so never bet with them again..there is serious value to be had on it again its all about being disciplined as an ill conceived bet could literally clean you out

That throw in story also allegedly involved MUFC v West Ham on the last game of the season in 97. Ball was kicked out from the kick off.
