I had a look around Soldier Field last month. It's a great stadium but they sacrificed a great monument for it to be redeveloped so I can see why it lost it's heritage status.

I was at the game in Parnell Park on Friday night. Cheerleaders, bands, great half time entertainment. A good experience for even people with no interest in sport. Hope this becomes a regular event.

Why wasn't this on RTE or even TV3? The Aviva was sold out as well. As it was linked to The Gathering as well I'd have thought either broadcaster would have seen the benefits.
Nice to see so many Americans coming here and linking their present hobbies and interests to their ancestral one. Tourism can bring jobs and help us get back on our feet. Couldn't our TV stations get the rights or did they just miss a trick here?

It must be the best kept secret i ever seen. I didn't even know there was a game in Dublin let alone Meath . .35,000 travelled over from the USA & one of their gun boats is parked up in Dublin Bay so i presume it was kept hushed for obvious reasons.

Sure was. In Meath we first heard about it about six months or so ago as Pairc Tailtean was always going to be a venue. Anyone go to Navan Friday as I was away for a few days. How was it there?

GAA clubs around the area gave them pitches to train and I hear they gave the pitch in Trim a good tearing up last Wednesday night. A large crowd turned up to see the training session.......65 on a panel.

Jumper. CBS covered it and it was availble also on ESPN America. You would have thought one of the RTE'S would have got the rights but typical RTE tbh.
