Some absolutely shocking books there alright trooper, for a 9 runner race 152% should be virtually unheard of?, the 4.40 was 167% (14) the 5.10 159% (14). I ran into a 174% book one time I think it was Roscommon?, they still trot out the same old excuse as to the reason for their shocking overrounds "protecting themselves from insiders", might have held some water 30 years ago, with the advent of online betting and with every race from sellers, maidens to handicaps all priced up in the morning their books are well and truely marked for them before they have time to finish their breakfasts.
Morning gambles can often continue oncourse as the word gets around and the sheep get stuck in hence a much shorter sp.
