Top class prize money yet the Galway maidens have generally been between Weld and OBrien where are the above named trainers maidens, these same gentlemen will be moaning about lack of opportunities later on in the season but to cravenly concede these maidens to the big two suggests again that there is too much racing.
I suppose at least they are giving Jim Dreaper a chance.

Not every trainer is prepared to run a potentially nice horse around a dog track.

Redbait is correct,John Oxx in particular wouldn't risk one just for a maiden win.Sea the stars was even beaten on his debut

Fair points but they must have some moderate horses.
I accept Weld is prepared to run some good ones but rarely in the three year old maidens look at some of his 1/3 winners not much good.

Most three year old maidens in August are looking at handicap routes.

Ger isnt a fan of the track at Galway at all hence he has no runners there at all this week,he says its a NH hunt track but a poor flat track where its all about luck and its not for him

We all know Ger gets excited and spouts out both sides of his mouth from time to time..........The comments he made a few years ago are brought back up every year.........bottom line is if an owner wants a runner there Ger will bring it down.........it can't be much fun running mid div in Curragh and Leopardstown  maidens all the time.

O'Brien is running a lot more than he usually does at the dog track "obviously" to help in Josephs quest to win the title, this year is probably his only realistic chance of ever winning the title before weight issues ultimately consume him?, unless of course HRI keep raising the weights every year to coincide with Josephs rise, nothing would surprise me with that rancid organisation.

Silvergreaser surely you will agree that it is the most natural thing in the world for a father to do his best for his son,the kid wants to be champion jockey so his father is going to give whatever help he can yet you seem to object to that, why?
Report silvergreaser August 4, 2012 12:34 PM BST
I'm not objecting to that wildman, I've a major aversion to goalposts been moved to facilitate one individual, whats more disappointing not one in the media dared mention this obvious collusion between HRI & Coolmore, but then again why am I surprised?.

It looks a bit suspicious but that has been on the cards for five years, people are heavier now there was a problem with dehydration, nothing sinister just coincidence.
