Well said ilwab and db1974.

Why do the same people have to keep having a go at each other on here?  Is there no end to it?  It is not even remotely humorous or intelligent banter.

It takes two to tango,  if one party just ignores the other then the nonsense ends rather quickly, I imagine.

3.fuddy duddys. hangs on to wonky's every word!!! what does that say? a wonky wannabe lol.. CryCry

God!!!

I know many on here don't agree with my forthright opinions, but one thing I never felt was the urge to abuse someone who just so happened to disagree with me?.

Slickster you have yet to put up a selection yet have the cheek to criticise Workrider and Huddys, two excellent posters.I admit you got one right but that wasn't hard even the skulking friendless Shaneboy spotted that.
Chech Huddys recent record it is incredible,he tipped a monster double in the golf and a few days ago put up a 16/1 winner for Goodwood,I suppose you will crab it as the beast only won a nose.

Do not compare you putting up a 10/11 winner with Huddys 16/1 winner, you have a dire record overall but thankfully you don`t bet them yourself.
By:
Rocketfingers
When: 06 Aug 12 22:59
10/11 is not odds against Wildman, both won, so can't knock either.

Do you understand the difference between 'odds against' and 'odds on'?
By:
soldieroffortune
When: 06 Aug 12 23:34
Rocket I often get confused myself, however there is a very easy way to remember ......

Its 'odds-on' workrider will be first out the taxi but 'odds-against' he'll then get the first round in! Laugh

11/10 v 10/11 Wilddumbo i think 8's the draw
By:
wildmanfromborneo
When: 07 Aug 12 00:10
The betting i quoted was draw no bet.
By:
Rocketfingers

As we were discussing handicap betting fair to assume its handicap betting, any person who understands gambling knows 10/11 your pick is almost always handicap betting.
The point of a handicap is to bring the teams together making them theoretically evens each of two but to factor in the bookies profit this is changed to 10/11 your pick.
By:
Rocketfingers
When: 07 Aug 12 00:32
Not at all not when you have a draw in there Wildman, you have 3 outcomes, it's not even true with what you say but it's too complex to get into at this hour and maths seem to be your arch nemesis. You're getting a lesson in betting from someone who we shall say is very good at handicap betting Wink

Doubt if Never Give Up will come to your aid on this one,he is in hiding cursing the hand you dealt him.

Did you not read the bit where i said draw no bet, that makes only two possible outcomes hence the 10/11 your pick, now do you get it.
By:
Rocketfingers
When: 07 Aug 12 00:45
Ok Wildman i'll give you one more chance Laugh

If team A are a 2 point fav, how could it be possible that Team A and Team B are the same price when you take away the Draw LaughLaughLaughLaughLaughLaughLaugh

Answers on the back of a postcard LaughLaughLaughLaughLaugh

You have to be skitting as no one could be that stupid.
Team A or deemed to be minus two points for handicap purposes, this theoretically brings them together in betting terms.
If team A win by two points that is a draw on the handicap so bets are voided in that market, you will be amazed how often these handicappers get it right its why lots of people who bet on the handicap want the draw eliminated and bet only on a two outcome scenario, hence the 10/11 each of two which i quoted.
It is plain you have never had a bet in your life.

A change of tack, the penny has finally dropped.
All bookmakers offer the draw no bet option on handicap betting.
