I will be a barstooler in a few minutes for the soccer........the place is hopping after todays unexpected win.
It will be the same for the Sligo people if they can topple Mayo.......Nice to see traditional football beat a well drilled handpassing machine. |

Ya well done, enjoy your night !

Rocked up to my contact at my local club today and he wanted 35 Eur a piece for a ticket for the connacht final. I could have got a ticket to see Iniesta, Xavi and co for the same amount more or less. Not being smart but rip f Ireland is still alive and well in some places.

was that the geals club rocket?a high powered official!?!?..sure you know the answer...dont go.mind your 35e for a meaningless friendly in the aviva next november in the cold!!..they will be 70e for a seat.
By:
Kavvie tell me the last time the FAI had 70 Eur tickets for a friendly? They're bad but they're not that bad.
By:
65e i vaguely remember a misguided workmate telling me he paid for a ticket to some meaningless friendly or other a few yr ago?
By:
Now it's 65, they have not had a friendly priced at 65 either, get your facts straight before you come on insanely defending your cult because of the sky high prices they are trying to charge to a match that is the round before the quarters.
By:
i assumed if he paid 65 there was dearer prices?..after all trap has to be paid and they gotta get it somewhere!!?.my cult?!wow.strong are you on the wine by any chance?the game you refer to is a provincial final.its 35e to the covered stand.terrace tickets are 20 and 15e.reasonable im sure you will agree?the winners will be 2 steps away from the greatest show on earth every year... the all ireland final!!

This thread is more proof you are not from Sligo, only a Dub would be so dismissive of a Connacht Final.
By:
You don't know the history of Sligo do you? I just think it's a huge price to pay for a final of a 5 team tournemant to get into the quarter final.
By:
You can knock Irish sports and sports people all you want but at the end of the day people will not go if they feel it's too dear.......It's not often Sligo get a big stage don't knock the efforts of these amateur lads that will have do a days graft on Monday.....maybe tuesday if they win..........Next you will be telling us Sligo Rovers are meeting half way and training in Athlone.............I am sure some of the Sligo Rovers players could be there on Sunday as many neutrals will attend.
By:
God Gant please point out where i knocked anything bar the pricing for this match? You lads surely are not that blind to see 35 pound for this game is mental or else that public servant number you have pays too much. 20 to 25 Eur in these times would be spot on, too expensive for the working class.

You know he may have just done his sums wrong, he actually had not collected them so i'm back down tomorrow at lunch time to get them off him as it was me who wanted to pay him then, but he said fix me up when you collect them so i'd say it will be 60 in total. I'm looking forward to it, cheering on my home county, the magpies.

Fair play to you if you do. Nothing wrong with liking both round ball games.
