Moonlight sapphire 5.45
Won a Tipp hand. hur in facile fashion on similar ground, maybe a chance taken this blinkered runner can show that improved form on the flat?
Chiltern hills 7.15
Currently around 5/4 on the exchanges looks the likely winner on the evidence of her last two runs.don,t think she,ll have it all her own way with moby **** and particulary  miradane in the line-up.Miredane made eye-catching ground turning in lto at Mallow, looking the likely winner,a mistake 3 out changed that nevertheless a nice run.Race i,ll probably just watch with a view at looking at the 2 dangers for the future.
Hevelius 7.50
Travelled well in his last two races, end result would have been a little better in both only for last flight blunders,Hard to see him out of the places and an ew bet to nothing imo.Gl anyone having a punt

Killian Moore - oh dear
Report wildmanfromborneo June 26, 2012 9:22 PM BST
Well done GANT007 but it was hard work,Katie Walsh at her strongest.
My sympathies are with Killian Moore,he just made a mistake.
Report neill d June 26, 2012 9:30 PM BST
well done Gant, called it spot on, never in doubt, the fact he was hanging a bit made the race look more cometitive than it was and he responded to every little nudge Katie gave him.

Elliot certainly knows when he has one well handicapped, anyone think that being known as much as his yard is as a gambling one might somehow count against him in attracting big owners? Some lads might want to know whether you're a gambler or a trainer before they give you the 6 figure PTPer or whatever.

Mullins yard punts as well obviously, but it isn't something that springs to mind when one thinks of Mullins. With Elliot, I think shrewd gambling yard rather than future champion trainer and that stunt with Subbing in Katie walsh only adds to that sense. Is that kind of thing good for the image?

You felt emboldened when you read some of the rightful criticism i received, this sent your craven cowardly nature into overdrive that caused you to make nineteen responses all the same, repeat someone elses post and add on your obsession.

Neild........Can you give me the name of a big owner that's not in the yard.
Report neill d June 27, 2012 1:33 AM BST
I'm sure he has quiet a few Gant, just wondering would everyone want to be associated with this kind of thing. Rich Richi might have a horse with him I'm not sure but I don't think he has. I know O'Leary is the main man at the minute and that may go on forever, but there is probably scope to attract more people from England given the poor levels of prizemoney over there, the owners of Simenon were only complaining about it today. I'm nearly certain there are plenty of professional people in management positions who wouldn't want to be associated with perceived skullduggery from an image perspective.

A person is often judged by the company they keep and there are plenty who wouldn't want the hassle, that horse was pulled out of a race because of ground similar to todays according to a thread on the racing forum, it doesn't look good that he is then punted off the boards on the same ground another day in an amateur race and Katie walsh is subbed in for the trainer's wife. that is hooky in my book and with bussiness done in good faith, plenty of bussiness people don't want to be associated with hookiness. Just an observation and I know the man isn't short of owners and is on his way to being Champion Trainer at some juncture in the future, just thinking might he be holding himself back a little in the long term with these kind of stunts at Northern racetracks in the UK.

No disrespect to Gordon Elliot intended and I'm an admirer of his work more generally.

Report wildmanfromborneo June 27, 2012 1:31 PM BST
He is an excellent trainer but has what may be an unfair reputation for not only gambling but for being backed by unsavoury characters.Gordon Elliott doesn`t gamble himself but it is thought the aforementioned unsavoury characters do,backing but more worryingly laying.
Report GANT007 June 27, 2012 1:36 PM BST
Explain unsavoury characters..........Or is it just the term used in grander yards as price robbers.
Report wildmanfromborneo June 27, 2012 1:48 PM BST
It may be unfair,it may be bad mouthing by other trainers but it is held against him.
Report GANT007 June 27, 2012 2:05 PM BST
Other trainers especially the hand me down trainers do not like to see out of towners make the cut.
Report neill d June 27, 2012 3:09 PM BST
I get what you're saying Gant and he is clearly an exceptional judge, He is probably the second NH trainer in Ireland now after Mullins, another few years, he won't even have runners in these places. It was probably just me cribbing I didn't get the 9/4 in the morningGrin and as regards the pitfalls, he'd strike you as a fella that has it all under control.
Report GANT007 June 27, 2012 5:49 PM BST
He has a very good team behind him.
