The mercurial Shane Dowling at 9/2 before Limerick played Antrim to be top scorer in the Hurling has softened the blow. Still a deuce looking for a point in 23 mins is hard to take. Would like to curse Brosnan but that manager chucked it last year for me also, some average players in that Wexford team, Dubs have to improve ten fold.

Hope the Dubs play Donegal again, we would have beaten them imo if Lacey did not get injured, Gl for your counties for the championship all my friends are going too be ringing soon laughing i sent some texts pre match telling them about my 22/1 bet (live in Dublin and friends are all Dubs) text them again at HT telling them i was rich lol

look foward to that,60 thou plus will turn up.meath are a big team,all good footballers,play a lovely style and will have no fear.need a dead ball specialist imo.wud expect a very physical bordering on dirty game.no offence to kildare or wexford but we dubs just dont respect ye

Heartbreaking for Wexford. They played great stuff in the opening half, definetly the better team but they let themselves down in the second half, some silly mistakes and fouling you cant afford to give away at this level and the All Ireland champions punished them. They have been very unlucky to bump into Dublin again. Adrian Flynn was outstanding, Brosnan surpisingly missed a couple of placed balls in vital stages of the game.
Bring on the Dubs. Cant wait. Enjoy the remainder of the weekend lads. |

 Whatever it is about him he is just a great man to get inside the defense, down on goal. The Bunsen Byrner!! Personally my MOTM would be toss between Gillespie and Carroll. Carroll must have covered every blade of grass on Jones Rd. today. For a man thats only 21, making his first senior appearance in Croker he was simply outstanding. There is more to come from him, he could be the new Trevor. Gillespie made some fine fetches, he is still raw but he gets my vote marginally. Who would you give MOTM to? |

There will never be a new Trevor.........He is a fair lad to have as team physio.
The new young lads were great......I'd say Banty let them go out and just play the game. Gillespie will get motm imo but Graham Reilly was excellent......Trappatoni should have brought him to Poland- probably the best Irish based soccer player. |

They stepped up to the mark and thrived playing pure football. I reckon too, natural talent good old style Meath football. It won us All Irelands. Who Reilly? I know he was a fair Rugby player aswell when he was in School in Drogheda. |

I did not get a chance to watch the extended highlights on the night so only watched the Sligo v Galway game earlier this evening. I can't believe the price of Mayo, Sligo destroyed Galway, Galway got a handy number of frees in the first, most Sligo scores seem to come from open play. Mayo destroyed Leitrim, they're a decent team but it was Leitrim. In fairness Sligo +4 at even money seems generous to me, given that Sligo performance i may be biased but i think we're better than that.
